  1. I have a mate who has been climbing for nigh on 25 years....he has been sing them second hand for £50 for ages and ages. Swears by them, although he did buy a 200t earlier this year. At £50 he argued it was pointless getting a topper.
  2. That was a beautiful machine.
  3. Ah. Thanks mate. I always wondered who maufactured his winches.
  4. If you want a system that works at the mo, but is TOTALLY unpersonalisable then get a mac. If you want a system that has a few issues every now and again, but all of which are easy to overcome, and is totally flexible, thebn get a windows based product. Better still use open source software such as Linux or Ibuntu on a PC (microsoft). Apple microsystems made everyone think that they had created a wobndefful system, when all they have done is got some open source software (linux), tweaked it to look like they want it to, copywrited it (going against the whole ethos of the Linux system) and copywrited as their own, whilst packaging it in weel marketed rip off boxes. Your choice. They are right up their own backside, and woe betide you if anything goes seriously wrong. I wouldnt touch a mac product with a barge pole at the moment or in the near future, and that is disregarding Foxconns human rights record (Foxconn make Apple products)
  5. Not for long mate.......the only reason that there were ALLEGEDLY no viruses for apple products has been that there were so few of the overpriced POS's sold, so it wasnt worth the hackers writing viruses...now that apple are getting a bigger market share, all you smug apple products users are going to be having a total nightmare, as the hackers have got all the viruses ready to release, yet the anti-virus guys are WAY behind.......watch out over the next couple of yeras i reckon.
  6. I would wake up in another reality in the environs of The Secret Garden Party 2010 - Official Website
  7. Bullsht. They are virtually all un camera'd. There are a load on the A30 through cornwall, none of which ever flash no matter what speed you are doing. All they do is cause panick braking. One was removed 2 years ago as it caused so many accidents. The only way to faily and safely reduce speeding is as someone has said, to put average speed cameras up. There is loads of evidence out there to prove that speed cameras dont save lives but do the opposite.
  8. You bpought one of Dave Bowyers winches??????? Fair play mate. Is it a dressed up superwinch or does he actually have them made?
  9. If you lagg your winch wire in chain oil it helps it wind back in more neatly.
  10. Not been to the big chill, but loads of mate have. I was only up in your neck of the woods to do some contract milling and treework lol No seriously I was bought a ticket by some mates so i came. I am seriously reeling now, so it must have been good eh?
  11. Of course god doesnt exist Get a grip. Believe in a faith, but dont try to tell me or anyone else that there is a tangible being that is god. It is this sort of nonsense that is the cause of most of the strife in the world at the moment, evangelistic claptrap. Any of you that are into christianity need to examine the origins of the faith (which on a world scale of faiths is a very recent one) and why and how it came about. You may then realise that you have been brainwashed. I fail to see, after having an upbringing of religion, and and years of studying theology)how anyone with a modecum of intellect can believe that christianity, or any faith, actually has a truth behind it. In fact if god was found to exist he would instatnly disappear in a puff of logic. If his existence was proven then the whole system of promises in thatafter life would fall to pieces. If you are so lost in life that you cannot believe in yourself and feel the need to have a greater reason for existence in a form of social control (again i urge you to examine the origins of christianity as a form of taxation and social contriol through fear) then go for it, just realize that it is founded in anything but truth.
  12. Big chill- great party....i should be off to that to recover:sneaky2:from the SGP........my feet havent tpouched the ground for 4 days. Getting heavily stuck into bloody mary and other naughties at home now.....
