  1. Hello all, Got a pair of type C stretch airs for sale, size XL, small hole by the side pocket, other than that look hardly used. Smell a bit deisely. Bought them on Ebay and too large for me. Will be at the APF on Friday, send me a PM if you want a look. Cheers all, Rich
  2. Hello all, due to injury I'm after a climber to help me out. I'm based in Cobham, Surrey and got a fair bit of work booked in if needed. Thanks, Richard.
  3. Top tip. I used the widget thingy out of a can of Kronenbourg, the poncey dynamo system one. With a bit of throw line it's perfect. Drink the beer while your making it.
  4. Hi Nod, I think they're after something carved from a whole trunk, but they may be open to suggestions. I'm not sure what you mean by "fine script". I'm no expert in these matters. Thanks, Richard
  5. Hello all, I have a client who has enquired about a carved Jubilee bench. The client is in Weybridge, Surrey. I may be able to supply a suitable oak trunk which is due to be removed mid May. Pm me contact details if you're interested and I'll pass them on. Cheers, Richard
  6. img_0947.jpg/img These horse chestnut logs are available to whoever fancys them. There in Surbiton/Kingston KT6, probably a transit load, good access, you can back right up to them. They've been ringed and quartered. Need to go soonish. Give me a PM if you want them. Cheers
  7. Thanks for the interest guys. The pile is currently in the process of being removed. If there's any left I'll let you know.
  8. [/ATTACH] Found this on a site clearance near Surbiton station. Handed it in to the police, wish I didnt now as I've been told its a walther ppk and worth a bit to a collector. Probably done the right thing though!
  9. Hello Mike, sorry someone's coming for the log pile next week. If you want it I have a large horse chestnut butt in Surbiton. Its on the floor and you can drive right up to it. It needs cutting up, but your welcome to it if you want it. Cheers Richard.

  10. I'm moving to a different yard soon and can't be hassled to shift it. Already got plenty split for firewood, thought someone might want it.
  11. Anybody fancy taking my log pile away? Its a mixture of hard and soft woods, I'd say 70% hardwood. Most of its been cut for anything up to 3 years, and the majority cut into rings. I'd guess there is 3 to 4 ton. Situated in Cobham, Surrey jct 10 M25. Cheers
  12. Yes Taupotreeman, it was I on the other end on a Dbrt. I just felt a tug on my rope, nothing too heavy, then the chipper stalled. It chewed it up pretty well, lucky it cut through, had enough rope left to get down. Whould'nt recommend it.
  13. Sorry, I'm an image download novice, hope this works.
  14. This is exactly what happened to me a few months ago. I was working on a willow with the chipper close by, no drag to speak off. Groundie was grabbing big bundles of small diameter brash and throwing into the hopper, did'nt notice he'd also grabbed my rope, not the end, a part of it along the length. First I knew was a tug on the rope and then the chipper (TW 190) stalling. I guess I was lucky the chipper cut the rope pretty well, the tug was'nt particularly strong. Quite impressed how much rope was chipped. Can't say I was cross with him, I should have routed my rope out of the brash pile, he could have been a bit more aware and maybe stopped the chipper, happened quickly though. It was one of those straight forward everyday jobs, we were both daydreaming a bit. Lesson learnt.
  15. Thanks for the info. Apologies Morten, Ill search next time, promise.
  16. My local stihl dealer mentioned there will be a new model coming out in June. I don't know any more detail. Does anyone know any more, is this true?
  17. Yeah, I did Google it and saw that list, but other sites said it was poisonous. So I thought I'd ask Arbtalkers, seems there's no definite answer, Traditional Loggers says it is.I guess there's lots of plants that if eaten in large quantities are going to be toxic to some extent.
  18. A quick question. As the title says, is common ivy (Hedera helix) poisonous? I've tipped some chipped ivy and spread it near a field with horses in, and have now been told its poisonous for them. The information I can find seems to suggest that the berries are a problem if eaten in large quantities. I suspect they are getting confused with poison ivy or even ground ivy. Does anyone know different? Thanks.
  19. I,m based in Cobham and happy to help.
  20. Hello Dom,

Sorry for not replying sooner, I don't really use this much. I'm more of the nosey parker type of user.

    Don't think I know Kev, who's he?

Anyway, I hear your after a yard, have you tried gumtree, I think Woodlands Court Farm in Cobham had units, might not be suitable though.

    Take it easy mate,

    Rich

  21. I saw them to, look a bit suspect, I had a 066 and a 036 pinched not long ago....hmmmm
  22. I got mine from Jubilee Building Supplies in Bracknell, they were selling them much cheaper than any where else.
  23. Thanks for the advice lads. Might just get down the car boot sale and have a sniff around, good idea.
  24. Im down in cobham, surrey. Seems like everyone round here is being turned over. In hindsight I wish I have made things more secure, but it seems they will find a way through just about anything. Going to get on with it tomorrow, wont let them beat me. Maybe a pack of rabid dogs is the only answer!
  25. It was my turn to be done over last night in Cobham, Surrey. I guess it was only a matter of time. They drove off road about two miles through fences and fields to get to my yard, cut the handbrake cable on the truck and broke the locks on the container. Heres a list of whats gone with serial numbers in case it shows up anywhere (got to do what you can).
