  1. you need to keep up brian....

spies will be on rossi's M1 next year, cal crutchlow will be on spies Tech3, so we will have a brit again, burgess WILL go with rossi, along with the rest of his crew.

lorenzo has studied rossis riding since he was in nappies,, he has emulated his riding style to be able to ride his bike, lorenzo is talented there is no doubt, but it'll be interesting to see how he can develop a bike without rossi doing the hard bit for him....

hence rossi leaving, rossi has done all the hard bit for lorenzo to leech him..

Lorenzo s been developing the bike to suit himself. Remember the wall dividing the garage.

Rossi does not share info with Lorenzo or vice versa.

Don t get me wrong I think Rossi s the best rider of modern times but Lorenzo will take his mantle over.

  2. Its former owner was bracing himself for the cost of a replacement Gearbox as the Layshaft was rumbling. They can/will go on for a while like that.

Do you know if the Gear box was over hauled before you bought it?

I remember the guy who owned it saying it burned about a Liter of Oil a week, was there any work done to the Engine while or after the Head was replaced?

    Mike

I am not being funny but the fella is trying to sell his Mog. Your not being fair in pointing out what you think its former faults are, whether they are true or not. Its history is open to debate and you are not privy to all of that as neither am I. I do know Giles as an honest straight up bloke. If you were selling an item you would surely not appreciate others putting posts up as you have done.

This is not a personal attack just pointing out that you are not being fair to a fellow Arbtalker.

  3. I cant wait either pal. Finally going to knock the up himself Lorenzo off his perch!!

    Lorenzo is the future.

Rossi is an awesome rider and will go well on the Duke I hope JB goes with him to see what they can get it to do. But Lorenzo will pick up where Rossi leave s off and will win many championships. :001_tt2:

  4. Them and Glendales (sorry Pommie :blushing:) are the two companies I'd be more wary of working for, casting no nasturtiums of course! They are both predominently landscaping companies with arb' thrown in as an afterthought. Again, I can't comment on employees' pay and conditions, but the office side of their operations is a bit, umm.. chaotic.

    Cheers Janey

  5. They would need to prove that any problems with the tree were a direct result on the works and that the right of the branch to occupy the space had a better claim than the common law right of the cutter to abate the nuisance.

In short you are responsible for your actions, it's hardly likely to cause a problem removing branches but cutting roots could be an entirely different situation.

If the tree were not protected the neighbour is entitled to remove any part growing over the boundary, roots included. However it would be reasonable of them to inform the tree owner if they cut all of the root on their side. The tree owner would then have to make the decision on the stability of the tree.

  6. Has anyone had any experience of custom fit ear plugs with filters in? Im pondering whether to invest in some specsavers charge around £130 per pair. They tailor make them to suit the end users environment.

I have used them for years. Brilliant bit s of kit esp if your prone to ear infections from hot sweaty earmuffs. I had the filtered ones first lost one Bugger. I then bought two pairs of plugs without filters they are just as good. Get bright colours. I use a company called Ultimate ear protection. You will need moulds taken and then wait for the plugs to be made, you get the moulds back also so if you want more made you just send them off and get replacement

  7. arbgirl.. yes the tree i'm looking at is TPO'd.. the owner of the house next door has done the planning ap for it, and got it,,, they have got access through the owners garden granted by the owner, but he doesnt want to know anything about paying for it,, i think that's out of order and he should surely have a duty of care to maintain his tree...

    Define maintenance!!!

They may have their tree inspected and told no "work required" Would you pay for something that maybe perfectly healthy and not bothering you ?

  8. did have a skylotec but now have a treemotion because you can replace everythin and now i wouldnt have anythin else.

I agree, i used the Skylotec for for 3 months hated the leg loops and the polebelt attachments. I now have a Tree Motion and love it. Wont have anything else now.

Just my opinion we re all different.

  9. Yeah ok after reading my original post maybe it was very presumptious of me to say that and if I'm wrong I'll apologise but I guess we are never going to find out.

I have worked in the same area as Mr Stanley for over 20 years. He is a scumbag pure and simple. Ripped people off used scare tactics, stolen kit.

He will be back though. Change of name req'd. He s done that about 10 or 12 times over the years. Always brand new kit.

  10. ok so the time has come after completing my cs38 i managed to save up some money and it's time to get my climbing gear - i've made configuration using f.r. jones catalogue and was wondering if youse could tell me what do u think or advice what do u reckon i should change etc? cheers

    Pete

Have you tried the Duo? I would get yourself either to a show or shop where you can try on harnesses as they are all very different. I myself use a tree motion very adjustable to stay comfy

  11. I can't see what you have done!

I know thats supposed to a good thign but seriously what have you done? What % reduction are you calling that?

Thats a complement cheers. I suppose I took about 15% of the crown volume off. The DBH of this tree was in excess of 1200mm. Big lump awesome tree.

  12. Ofcourse everyone is entitled to their opinion, but company bashing isn't really what this site is about chaps.

Maybe Pm'ing on specific company avoidance is a beter way of doing it :001_smile:

Hope Scotts not reading the anti CS vibe going on.

T'is a small world, and you never know who's watching :sneaky2:

    Good point Dave
