If you heat up the end of a chainsaw file and melt a hole in your rope you can thread a small piece of throwline through tie in a loop and when retrieval is needed girth hitch the retrieval ball on the throwline loop. Sent from my MHA-L09 using Arbtalk mobile app -

After my Arbpro clip and steps have come to the end of their life I'm in need for a new set of climbing boots looking for some suggestions, I have had akus in the past and salewas just after some other recommendations thanks. No its not Joe but has two buttons to open it and you fit the rope into it with out taking the pin completely out, as the second button stops you removing the pin. Sent from my SM-G925F using Arbtalk mobile app

I have been using the singing tree quickie found its works really well can be a bit tight with larger diameter ropes but is handy if you want to move your tie in point. Sent from my SM-G925F using Arbtalk mobile app

Wonder what they are like on really skinny stuff, if the thickness is smaller than distance between the spikes?

The initial cost seems expensive, if you get two battery's could you get away with just one battery for day to day use ? Also how long does the oil last as with normal saws the fuel runs out first so topping the oil happens instictivly?

I find attaching my lanyard to the handle of my saw far easier to manage and doesn't leave it dangling around at my feet or ripping the right leg of my chainsaw trousers to pieces as it gets caught up, also using a small krab rather than a ring makes it far more versatile when stowing the saw, e.g. when out on a limb and quickly clipping it back to my bridge or lower ds on my tree motion to handle a branch.
