  1. LOL!! Maybe if you tune into channel 4 at 9 o'clock tonight you may see them...
  2. LOL!!! That is hillarious! If you search on ebay you can find them for about £70. I don't know how they dare try and sell this rubbish. You should report them for selling fraudulant goods.

    Jonsered

Nice block paving!!!! The only reason to dismiss Jonsered saws is if dealer support is a must for you. I believe there is only one main dealer in the UK which is less than ideal, but if you are buying second hand then you will be quids in as they don't go for anywhere near as much as the Husky sisters do. I was interested in a 2156 which came up on ebay, went for £185 iirc, compare that to what the 357xp's are selling for then there is about a £50-£60 difference! An amount not to be sniffed at in todays climate! Many Husqvarna parts fit the J-red's so i don't think parts would ever be an issue. 2152 = 353 (i think!) 2153 = 346xp 2156 = 357xp 2159 = 359 2165 = 365 2171 = 371xp 2172 = 372xp i'm lost now. lol HTH.

Phil, thanks so much!! Great service and they look the 'dogs' on the saw! Will get you a pic when I get on the computer. Thanks for the IPL for fitting the roller catcher, I would have never have done it without it! Oh, and thanks for the sweets too... Once again, cheers mate. David.

    Looks busy!!
  9. Blimey!!! That is alot cheaper than i thought it would be!!
  10. Yeah it looks nice tony. Have you considered a husky? husqvarna chainsaw on eBay (end time 28-Jan-11 11:34:48 GMT)
  11. Hi Tony welcome to the forum! The 024 has around 42cc's and the 026 has around 50. The extra cc's make quite a difference and will make your task alot easier! I have owned a 260 before and it was fantastic with a 16" bar. Both saws will cater for your needs, but the 026 will do it a bit better and quicker. Keep an eye out on the price though, they normally go for a fair bit with it being a Stihl. Have a look in the trading place on here spudulike has a spanking 350 for sale for £220 i do believe. Also has a 266.
  12. i agree! cheeky begger!! I had this once, i was on a job and it was red hot and had already had a full day at work. The customer wanted a juniper removing along with a few heathers and bits of bobs. I quoted £40 for what i thought would be about an hour and a half to two hours work... After i got them out he said right if you could just spread the soil backwards then that would be great! wtf? there was about 3 tonne and i was on my own and absolutely knackered. I did it and thought right i'm off. Packed all up, stuff in the car and went for my money and the cheeky sod said 'you haven't moved the stones yet' probably about 30 rockery stones. I looked at him gone out... he gave me an extra fiver for the work i did that he never mentioned when i went for the first visit! Needless to say i never went back for seconds!
  13. Good little saw mate, ideal for what you are planning for it. The air filter is in a bit of a bad place though and gets clogged up after so long. Basically the same as the 338 iirc.
  14. I really like it mate. The makita's are great value for money. there was one on ebay a few weeks ago, went for not alot of money too and it was spanking!

yes its too big but who cares? lol!
  17. Everything is sorted from my other job, this is just a side line for the winter.
  18. Just a quick question regarding sales of firewood on the side. I am employed full time, but sell firewood on the side, how much is a good amount to be making each week on the side? Obviously the more the better, but I have just had a customer ring me regarding an add I placed for unseasoned firewood. He wants it to store for next year. He said he would want 4 tonne bags every two months. My eyes lit up, well, my tabs did! I'm selling it quite cheap due to it being unseasoned, probably £35 or £40 a bag. I have a few other customers and I am probably averaging £30 a week at the moment, with this new customer I would be making around £50 a week. That's about a 1/5 of my weekly take home so I'm quite happy with it. Does it sound good to you or should I be making more? I quite like the idea of selling unseaeoned as I haven't got it all over the yard/back garden until next year. Cheers.
  19. Oh, and get some pics up, bet it looks mint with that bar on the 346!
  20. Forgive my ignorance, but won't the 346 be a little too powerful for the NK setup? That would be super quick in the cut! lol. Also wouldn't fancy trying to carve with a 346 anyway... i would want something with about 5cc's... but then again i have never done it so don't really know much! haha. I would balls it up straight away!

    044 dogs.

Hi Gustharts, just wondered if you can get a hold of some felling spikes for an 044? Looking for the inside and outside if possible. Also can you get the roller catcher for this model? Also, can you get the 3/4 wrap for it? Many thanks, david.
