  1. We had 2"'s of snow at Coire Cas car park last fri. and it lasted for 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. The zander has obviously inherited his uncles athletic proess [and not his spelling] Thats the Blair cousin medal count up to 5 this week, and 2 more race days to go!!!! World domination here we come:party:
  3. I'd have just felled it! Only prob is Alser is pretty crappy firewood:-]
  4. Get ArchView, it's the system that fc and everyone else is using . Just printing OS maps out and drawing on them with PC art packages is pretty mickey mouse . Get a decent GIS system [with training, I'll give you a 5% discount:001_tt2:], the initial outlay will be high but it will be worth it in the long run. and get a decent gps as well
  5. Used an old one years ago for bringing deer carcasses of the hill, the f'in thing normally bounced down the hill with me running behind it.
  6. The above dead hedge option is very good or just leave it to rot down, the woodland will benefit from some organic material being left.
  7. Aye Matt, you took my advice then!!! Watch out , cutting out dead wood can be addictive
  8. It was Einstien who said that humans would be extinct 4years after bees. I think there is a virus that is causing big problems to bee keepers, it's wiping ot hives. I don't eat bees, well not many:scared1:
  9. I think it comes down to who's at fault. if it's you , then you carry the can, and try and make sure it doesn't happen again. If it's the sub contractor- bin him You don't need the hassle or worry. If it isn't reportable to HSE , it surely isn't that serious however it's hard to say without knowing the facts.
  10. In the case of a major incident , I think HSE will provide enough paper work for you, I think it's best to avoid these situations happening rather than what to do after it happens , paperwork can overtake what is in practise a praticle job, as said before BS baffles brains.
  11. ouch:scared1::scared1:
  12. All double rads, apart from bathroom which has a fairly big towel rail[one of those designery stainlees ones:bored:] I've just the standard legs. If you have the boiler model then the flue has to come out the top.
  13. It's down to perception and attitudes, many people on here have been called barbaric for cutting a tree. Personally, I wouldn't comment untill I saw it myself however the blood in the water will make it look bad, if we were to see all the blood from 1 day in the abatoir we would be shocked , but we are sensitised as it's piped away out of site.
  14. Good thing about cammo y fronts is that no-one can see you cumming:party:
  15. Mearns and Angus are training providers, I think they just sub everything out , so it's cheaper going to lads direct rather than giving m&a a cut. Phone SSF they may have courses running about then.
  16. You'll have to put your hourly rate up to afford that:thefinger: Sorry swb for hijacking your thread with our freindly banter:001_smile: HF did the ginger timber dwarf get his saw fixed ?
  17. wot ! no special shortbread tin:scared1: it'll be toast and marmalade[with no bits] in bed next has vick perfected a double wave yet
  18. as said before, I've a morso dove doing 7 rads and all water, no sweat, excellent stove, I use mostly wood with a bit of anthracite now and then, shop the net and you'll save a £ or 2
  19. The hughiepapaisation prosess has begun :scared1:
  20. He's a tree climbing nerd:pcguru: :001_smile:
  21. Not a Scooby
  22. I'm with vodafone and they're pretty good up here as are o2, t-mobile are excellent here!!! We tried a sat phone a few years back, hugely expensive and wasn't as good as vodafone!!!!!!
  23. If it was at Perth it would have been the Tay not Spey, sorry just being a pedantic p****. lol
  24. i've had a few different ones , I wouldn't go past Jotul or Morso, I've a Morso Dove which does all the CH and water. For a smaller fire a Morso Squirrel is hard to beat , very eficient and tons of heat for it's size.
  25. I've read heaps of studies on firewood from FC , Canada and the US They all say the same , all wood burns well as long as its dry [low moisture%] the length of time to get to that Moisture% varies and wet wood is crap I think people are trying to complicate a subject which is basicaly quite simple, with a couple of simple rules, follow them and there will be very little problems.
