  3. I`m asking for advise from your guys:001_smile: I`m after getting my first wood processor. There are so many to pick from and just wonted to know what people used and any problems I hire in a haki 1x37 when we get really busy the rest of the time we have a standing splitter but we can`t keep up with the orders so now wont my own only thing is not got alot to spend but wont a new one but only got about £6000 I have been looking at a farmi processor in my price range Please help and thanks in advance:thumbup:
  4. thanks that is just what i was going for
  5. we are making a bigger machine for big stuff its the same but beefy what you got to remember there are lots of things i would like to do to the unit but it all costs money witch then goes on the final price of the unit and as i`m trying to keep this one at a good price for people the bigger one we have is still being tested so unit i`m happy with it and i`ve had it and tried to brake it and given it to some local tree surgeons to play with i`m not posting it and the end of the day i`m keeping or should i say trying to keep the price down on this woody the other unit will be heavy duty but will be more expensive
  6. very sad news
  7. i might use that as are slogan want a wrap NO want to rig up the figure 8 NO want a woody:biggrin: like it
  8. it will be on the orange plant stand with the timberwolf chippers ask to speak to barry if you go let me know what you think when you have seen it
  9. thanks for that never noticed that before but we have two straps on the unit to stop any movement at all when it is on the trees keeping it fixed as we have to be careful with the design too that we don`t copy any other as there are patients we have to watch
  10. yes it is CE approved i will do my best to put a video on this weekend for you of it being fitted to the tree the only reason its at the show is one of the dealers are taking it with them fingers crossed we will be at the APF next year as long as people wont the product
  11. i`m glad you said that thanks like i said trying to keep costs down as at the mo i don`t know about any one else up and down the country not alot a work around near us its starting to pick up a bit this last two weeks but every little bit of money that can be saved makes a difference
  12. cheaper than some others £259-99 with everything it comes with we were hoping a bit cheaper but there is alot more involved than you think when you wont to sell them once we sell more of the the price should hopefully come down a bit but just depends on how many go
  13. it does a little but we are just waiting for a rubber mat to be finished that you put between the woody and the tree we have been using a bit of carpet with ares at the mo witch works fine the weight is always on the back two pegs nearest the tree so there is no movement in the unit i hope that answers your question if not i may have read your question wrong
  14. glad you are happy with it done anything big on it yet?
  15. Here are the pictures of the final WOODY lowering device As i said i would put them up sorry taken so long and as some of you might know last Thursday night my unit got broken in to and took all my saws and hedge cutters so as i got some time on my hands i thought i would get them on here for you guys There will be a video to follow at some point It is zinc plated so no need to worry about rust It has a safe working load of 1250kg this has been shock load tested so no need to worry (we are bringing another device out that will have a safe working load of 2000kg for your big boy jobs in the future just doing final tests) It has two 5ton straps that come with it plus a bar to tighten the ratchets It is British made You can work 220 degrees around the base with the lowering device If you wont to have a proper look at this device touch it, feel the wait throw it around hopefully it will be at the:- IOG Saltex Show Windsor Racecourse The Racecourse Maidenhead Road Windsor Berkshire SL4 5JJ England IOG SALTEX - grounds care, landscaping, sports amenities and estate management event Witch is on the 8th-9th-10th September Have you got a WOODY yet? Just one more thing to add i have said before this is just a cheaper lowering device that works just plane and simple if it helps people out great Any questions please ask

  18. I was not happy that morning when i got up there:cursing: And what makes it worse not that much work on at the mo and some little s##t comes and does this We are in the high peak area most the farms have been broken in to over the last month or so around us and what was more we were moving to are new unit over the weekend that we have just spent the last month making secure have no serial numbers for the chain saws as my local dealer didn`t put them on there system just hope insurance will sort it out as i can`t afford to buy all new saws or even second hand i will have to sell up the foot prints and finger prints came to nothing in the end (not like on CSI) any one got any tips to keep things that little bit safer and thing might help p.s does any one have a really big chipper i can borrow when i found out who did it?

  22. Hi my name is Simon and it is me that had the device made and is selling them i have been working as a grounds man and climber for the last 6 years (and yes i know that's not long) So for every one that is writing good and bad stuff about it i`ll fill you in on it then you can make your minds up and i`ll answer any questions for you best i can The device that dangerous brain has is a unit i had made by a professional company (not in my garden shed ) over two years ago and we have been using it are self's on jobs and has been a great help to us I had a number of local tree surgeons ask to use it and if they could buy it off me so i decided to go down the road of seeing about manufacturing them and selling them to other tree surgeons I have had them proof tested at dales in Manchester to 3tonne with a certificate this does not mean its its S.W.L it will have a safe working load of 1250kg i will be sending a number of these LD away to be broken to see a max proof load You do not have to have lowering devices proof loaded i wonted to know for my self to give me an idea of a S.W.L it is up to the manufacture to give the unit its S.W.L The item is CE marked by the company that make the LD for me as they have to with every product they let leave the factory The only reason i made this device for my self was that i could not afford other lowering devices at the time so had it made So all i`m trying to do is help other people in that same situation it is not to compete with other lowering devices that are available It is a simple device that works that people can afford and that's the bottom line The picture i have added (at least i hope it has) is a picture of the one i have been using for two years it is not the final produce i will have them next week so if you like i can post a picture of it The reason it has two straps on it is if one ever broke (witch has never happened to us and didn`t at the proofing) there is a second back up that will keep the machine in place with no movement at all so sending no shock though the tree like some other lowering device out there it gives you time to lower what ever is on it down safely I will post a picture in the next week of the final item with every thing it comes with Feed back would be nice as it is intended for you all but please keep the bitchiness down to a minimal Thanks for reading Regards Simon
