For me the Sam Stout Fight was top draw
  2. Cheers this should prove useful to any potential VT user
  3. Youve probably hit the nail on the head there jojam . Pros and cons need to be explained before use of this knot . Most people I asume would just dress the knot as per pictures from the net or a book and in doing so treat it like any other friction hitch . Still not for me as I would not be able to work at 100% while also watching the hitch .
  4. Yes very enjoyable . Always enjoy ya vids .
  5. Yeah I can see where your coming from . When its working its a winner . But it does require a tickle from time to time and for me with years on the prussik it was a shock to say the least when she failed to grab . And I really put the knot to a lot of testing before she was allowed to go to work . If people are going to use this knot then it would be cool if you as a user would explain which is your preference friction cord for use with a certain rope etc etc .
  6. Some very valid points on here . Surely the fact that lots of guys are saying they have had difficulties on the VT speaks volumes . I have tryed said knot got it working a treat and out of the blue it decides not to bite . Back on a prussik little bit more work involved but dont you just know that its going to hold 100% of the time . VT = Very Temperamental

  14. Who pays for the fuel ? Sorry I take it thats all in ?
  15. I,d have to say the little TW is a great machine . Problems we have had were mainly electrical gremlins and the like . Water getting into the switch control box and also into the no stress thingy . This little machine is a 2000 model kohler 18 hp quite a punchy engine . Its an early TW with the swan neck towing chassis which did develop a hairline crack . This crack started from were they pop rivet the id plate on. So that was welded up . Regular oil changes and filter changes and the kohler engine will take some stick , no pun . With sharp rollers and blades it does put some larger machines to shame . I can pull mine over a lawn on my own . For a small outfit these are great chippers .
  16. Alright Paul I,m sure someone had a thread on this before ?
