  2. Quite effective! What a positive week and now,like my sign i'm "FULLY CHARGED"and ready for work in the morning....

  4. Back to yesterday,we had an interesting Anglo-Saxon and Viking exhibition going on.Any ideas what the Centre Rope is made from? (Extremely strong)
  5. What about this one then? Five minutes from my doorstep and one of my favourite views.No wonder i become so interested in Trees.Durham City is covered in them.

This week off was all about self-development.My Big brother had been over from Canada which had been a great boost for me as he was who i looked up to as a kid.When he left he made me promise to visit him in Alberta next year which i will....The workshop with Nod and Woodenhand also gave me a Fresh new outlook on my Climbing.And frequent cycle rides and Gym sessions have taken my fitness level higher....i am ready to get back to treework on monday re-vitalised and with a clearer view of my next steps.....
  7. My penultimate day's holiday started like this!
  8. My life is Family,Trees....and Gym these days. And that's it pretty much. And now i have a better understanding of how my body works (in particular my muscles) i am training and eating in a whole new way.My cycling too is at a different level as is my tree climbing.I have always been strong but now have greater upper body and leg power!
  9. How our lives can change if we put our minds to it..Nine months ago i would have been drunk on Strong Scrumpy and Japanese Whiskey....Down the Angel on the orange Juice,happier and healthier than i've ever been!
  10. Agreed. It was a very interesting day and something i will think about and utilise in my Tree climbing and everyday life.I was also very pleased with my find at the outdoor market in Buckingham.

  12. I am learning to Navigate the new site Steve and i am looking forward to continuing my Saga! Life is my Springboard.Yes David they are True Tree climbing Geeks and my kinda people.Recommend anything they involve themselves in.Paul even said i would be welcome to visit him in Japan! In the meantime,i have a week off.No road-trip this time.I intend to prepare myself for my next step up the ladder of this Arblife.This moring began with a brisk walk up to the Cathedral around the riverbaks and here to the Gym (Which is where i do my most productive thinking and plan my day.Have a Great Week Arbtalkers!

  17. What a Beautiful setting Stowe School is.Just a small gathering.Nod had brought Paul Poynter (Woodenhand) with him to help with the day's discussion.
  18. Robert"Nod" knott had advertised a workshop on Facebook but due to circumstances this had fallen through.He offerered to do a free one day talk on Excercise/movement in tree climbing instead if enough people were interested.I had a week's holiday booked so this would be an excellent way to start in and sounded perfect for my healthy new lifestyle! Firstly i had to get to Stowe near Buckingham for 10 a.m on Saturday....So i packed my Pick up and headed South....After a few hours i arrived here!
  19. What a superb day at Stowe with Nod and Woodenhand.Will post pictures and details once i've found somewhere to sort through the days photos.
