Punt away mate:)...i hope you're reading this Mr Stockbridge:rolleyes:...hope your fee hasn't gone up:p...whatever happens,happens ..i'm just doing what i'm doing...I Express myself:thumbup:..walked over kew bridge to get the sunset shot and bumped into these Great Danes...(literally)...my life is so Random...So i get to the "Botanist" at kew...i fine establishment serving such delights as "humulus lupulus",a real ale.....it also has it' s own micro brewery inside...oh.....and Kew Gardens next door.:thumbup:....so if ever we have an Arbtalk Social event at the "World famous!!! Royal Botanic Gardens...15,000 tree specimins"" etc etc....then we would have refreshment nearby....until then....cheers!

Loving this Karma Vibe lads:D:D:D..the Silk thread will morph and evolve stretching out like roots seeking out that last droplet of rain...it is a living breathing thing moving under it's own steam:cool::cool:...it is becoming a Cult!:D:D....in the meantime, just been on a riverboat sorting some logs sales out and noticed the sunset as it was about to set:)....nice way to end the day....

  5. Just written out my first invoice...Trawling through Arbtalk with Fred Dibnah on the T.V. They have just pulled down a tree with a steam winch and then it goes through the steam powered mill. Fred was one of my Heroes when i was a kid......check out the hat on Fred,s mate:lol:...is that you Delabodge?
  6. As i am still My Own Boss....i gave myself the day off:thumbup1:..it is a beautiful sunny day and there are things i needed to do. Cleaned my chainsaw this morning checked my climbing gear and put my stretch Airs in the washing machine:001_rolleyes:...this is my third week self employed so it was time to buy my first bit of Buisness Kit on the advice of a few people recently...An Invoice book....and a "Dinosaur Pasty" from Pether,s Butchers. Kew Gardens:biggrin:Highly Recommended if you,re ever this way. Going to chill out in the Garden and Check out Arbtalk this Afternoon:thumbup1:

Wherever i go i always carry this card that has all my unit numbers qualifications etc...it,a all up to present date ..All the clues are there that would suggest that i am Proffessional chainsaw opperative:thumbup1: plus climbing kit in my panniers is also a giveaway. i always come across every bit an Arborist whether i am on my bike or driving a 7.5 tonner with Chipper!...it,s all good for the travelling Arborist:001_tt2:

  9. "Delaboge" on this site (Winson Woodcraft) Twyford. They offer any ammount of Seasoned logs...Some of the best logs i,ve seen! If there is a baby on the way....He turns some amazing woodcraft including these Cherry Baby Rattles...
  10. i always cover my chainsaw with a black bag...i have been carrying cutting equiptment on my bike for years...i know the score:thumbup: never been stopped...

I have been through the books all my working life...that's how i like it:)...i had to get away from working in London City...bad working conditions and very bad practices...so i left myself without a job:(...because of my thread and the fact that i hace a lot of determination i have moved away from those problems and into a better place but i still have no full time job near where i live...until that happens i shall continue to work self employed:D
  12. The banana is there so that once all my gear is packed i don't forget to eat the banana before cycling off(quick energy)...

The Desparate times are long gone and i,m hitting the ground running as usual...got an E mail when i returned from Kent..it said that a tree had landed on my mates shed and could i come and give him a quote..he sent some pictures...it was only a couple of miles away so i loaded up my bike...it was a Poplar and had rotted at the base and fallen onto his shed..Luckily the shed had been built so well that there was only a small split across one side of the roof...i filleted it all down to the stem...pulled the butt of the roof and stacked all branches ready for burning...just in Time for Sunday roast:thumbup:...I wonder if i could tow a "Jo Beau chipper" behing my bike?:001_rolleyes:?
  14. This is a really cool picture! The sun is really shining through the crown and the climber looks dwarfed by the big limbs. You have created a lot more light and space up there..i can tell. Good job... P.s Your Avatar just freaked me out (Again)

Yep...yep and yep....they can come undone...twigs get jammed in behind the scabbard..it rides down so the blade comes into contact with the straps:banghead:...but i still rate it....i think that having a hand saw attatched to the side of your shin it isn't very streamlined and will catch but i can live with until Darbyshire produce a "Sawpod 2.0"...with these issues ironed out:rolleyes:...

Had a good little drink with the Lads and good crack:thumbup:....did bits and peices with Mick in the morning...got to one job where a small Sycamore had to be removed..it was 50 feet up a sheer rock that was being held in place with with wire and bits were falling off....no access from the top.....Customs private land...high security area as well...Left it for a cherry picker.. Rich reduced a Euc in the Afternoon then that was my week done...I,ve met great friends through my thread i started when i only had a quid to my name...Thanks to Mick,Rich,Mark...Clive, Dangerous Dave,Kiwi,Glyn...and of course Andy Collins.thanks for the work....i paid my rent for the next month and still have enough to live on for a long time..:thumbup:....Working in Kew,Richmond all next week...things have really picked up for me...Thanks for all of you who have followed my two week journey..i feel i have elevated into a happier Arboricultural place:001_smile:....This isn,t Goodbye.
