  2. Now the interview!... was told about this interview at Xmas. Couldn't take any pictures inside...thought it would ve better if I kept my mobile off the entire time of my meeting...at this moment intime I will say it went VERY WELL INDEED!... Like I say...."watch this space;)"
  3. I don't enjoy visits to the Docs....at least I could get a nice Coffee before hand just around the corner in a Cyber Cafe.
  4. The garden had been hit hard bt the storms but only 1 tree in need of Attention...50 foot conifer with a dodgey rootplate... Pocket Boy won on the Silky competition was delightfully compact...anchord of an adjacent tree I enjoyed stripping and chogging the leaningtree...job done in 45 minutes and With a little pocket money.....next stop....The Doctors.
  5. Wowzer! What a day... Thought I would get a nice long lie in..it would have been the first working day lie in I've enjpyed for a long time.But it wasn't to be.A note pushed under my bedroom door regarding a phone call my mum had recieved...Dangerous tree leaning towards a nieghbour's house...could I sort it? From a very worried nighbour....Of course...I MUST save the day! I may want to teach it...but I am still very capable of doing it...nice to work with my Son on the ground again.
  6. The Dutch are masters of water management..I should know cos I lived there for a few yesrs and was amazed at some of their Dams...Polders..Sluice...dredging etc...

  10. Thanks! Interview Friday...feeling very i'll right now but very determined to move myself to the next level in my Life. Yep, the weather is diabolical at the moment...soaked to the skin today and because I am suffering with a temperature I was sweating like a Pig all day..burning up then freezing.Have to shake this infection. And it's"cold" rain just now..blowing a Gale outside now.

  12. Made it! Hopefully it won't snow too much today and I can get the 37 miles home!

Ok so i went to the Doctors yesterday...chest infection (again) should have got anti biotics the first time.Losing weight rapidly so allowed myself a luxury breakfast although I couldn't taste it for Cattarh...Got the 74 mile commute to work in the white stuff.....I can maybe test my 4x4 capability:thumbup: Roll on Interview day! BRING IT ON!

  15. Wet Snow!...thats all I need on a morning where I shall be dragging conifer a fair distance...long long sleep...woke up feeling rough...seems I have a chest infection(again) ...3rd since Xmas. That's not good before my interview.may have to visit the docs....dont want anything ruining my chances of a dream job!

  19. How cool are these!?.. I saved a slab of redwood from a dead top we took out in London (near Heathrow actually). I took it home on the back of my bicycle.I brought it back up North and gave it to a woodturner I met."you can have it if you can make me a Goblet"i said....He made me 2 and gave me them today....its a wonderful thing to see something crafted to keep forever that may have ended up as firewood.
