Two weeks later I walked into the opperating theatre unable to speak becsuse of the fear that had held me back from sorting it out all that time...I really believed I wouldnt wake up after the Opp!.....because I was asked to shave the injured area I freshly shaved my head so the curtains matched the Carpet:D it was also my ritualistic side having an effect on me...this picture shows me one hour aftet my repair at home with the magine and drink my girlfriend gave me to cheer me up...I couldnt walk propperly for 2 weeks, I was climbing 1 month later but it took 1 year to fully recover. That moment in the Yew Tree and that moment with me smiling after what doctors said could have prolonged my life are what gave me my determination now...everything happens for a reason ay? Moral of this tale? If you have a Hernia, don't be a tit like me...get it sorted:)
  2. Sorting through all my old photographs as I am still un packing in my new room,I found a regular paper one that made me see how stupid I had been in the past. Before I post it I,ll remind you of this one of me in my favourite of all trees.The Llangernyw Yew estimated at 5,000 years old.it was at this moment as I sat pondering this venerable Tree that I decided to Man up and sort my Hernia out after Many, Many years. I was still living a normal life but with a secret that only my family new about.......

  6. Gomtaro is an very good mini pruner...Nakanoto is ultimate balance,quality highly aggressive fast cutting Turbo Pruner for small to large diameter branches.:thumbup1: and I have lots and lots of pictures of them and on sites all over...bit obsessed...hence my Arbtalk name:001_smile:
  7. Every couple of years...look after it VERY well. Have three main ropes. a mini rope for connie bashing. A rope for wet/slimey trees. And a long dry rope for ZigZag/Spiderjack. all are Blue Tongue 11.7.

  17. thanks Mr Orchard...keeping a team Happy and motivated is the easy bit...finding the work is the hard bit. Yesterday however could well be the catylist that starts the domino effect...Today Mr Gand I am at a loose end so I,m off to take the dog a long walk.
