  1. Thanks to Martin for getting me on board based on what he saw on my thread....good choice Martin;)
  2. Moving on to teaching is a natural progression for me and sonething I have done a lot of unofficially....but to do it officially is what I'm aiming for....this is the first step. Got clearance to coach today but not to post my pictures yet...
  3. In desperate times, my thread saves the day! FINAL CHAPTER.
  4. Sod it...I'm getting up! Been to excited to sleep..going to hit the shower and get an early breakfast.i feel fantastic! Completely better, nostrils are clear for the first time in months and I'm back to my old self...still have 3 days worth of Antibiotics left so a full recovery is a guarantee....I'll maybe check a few more threads first...not ready to leave the comfort of my Sip blanket:)
  5. It's the 3rd Time Special Branch have been done over in as many years. 2nd time they took the chipper in broad daylight! The idea was...and still is to climb for him regular once work comes in but my dream of teaching looks as if it could be on the horizon so if I can do both its a win win! The drive to Lincoln is a short one from what I'm used to these days and like I said I love driving...the Navara is great and is very good on fuel...much better than the L200 I used to have. The last 24 hours have proved very positive. I have a few climbing jobs when I get back home and hopefully the college will be impressed with me. A Fox never gives up!
  6. What an amazing creation!
  7. Any hard wood this morning Jon?
  8. Good thinking Mac! I've lost count of how many trees/branches/rings I've manipulated through houses in central London. You havent lived until you've moved a dismantled 60 foot Plane tree bit by bit through an imaculate kensington property passed a grand piano over marble flooring and out through a sash window:D:D:D
  9. Good morning Mr Orchard..I forgot you are also a bit of an early bird.don't worry, I'm rather a predictable driver and am a stickler for keeping exactly to the speed limit.very rarely venture over 60.
  10. Thanks Orchard..let me know when you need a hand...first thing I do when I wake up early is tap the Arbtalk app....problem is, it's difficult to put it down! but I will do....soon.....I think...... check my route for this morning.weather forcast looks good.couple more hours sleep....maybe read a couple more threads...
  11. Quite the opposite here now....looks quite peaceful...no frost...little or no wind...dry. rather calm considering the last few nights.
  12. Poor thing...blown off its casters:rolleyes:
  13. Lots of dead bins everywhere when I left Durham...carnage:D
  14. On a final note, my New Years Resolution. If I am ever ill, I MUST go to the doctors! It's my right...it's good for me and the drugs work....just taken my sixth Amoxyllin...I feel like a gully sucker has been plugged into me and purged all the poison out of my body...my lungs feel like they have doubled in capacity and my head feels clear...remarkable gear......
  15. I'm in "Treeton" appropriately tonight Jon....short 50 miles sprint to the college in't mornin. GOODNITE ARBTALKLAND..BIG BIG DAY TOMMOROW:) and some jobs to book in for when I get home.
  16. I love driving....especially at night but tonight was a bit of a white knuckle ride to say the least. Big shout to all the lads and lasses driving wagons on the motorways in this...I could feel every gust in the pick up and I could see the trucks swaying and weaving all over the place...it was bad enough when I left Durham and it only got worse abd worse....only consolation was tge fact that the Navara is such a comfortable cab to be in and it loves motorways...
  17. Charlton Chips...yes mate...I believe he left a voicemail for me...will listen to it on my arrival...thanks for recommending me...it's getting busy!:
  18. Mw arb....it's always sunny in my world:cool: even when it's"lashing it down and with motorway signs saying CAUTION STRONG WINDS!! every few miles....been dodging the wobbley high sided lorries...what a Rush!
  19. 3 weeks ago I'd never heard of Risholme college until I got a message saying would I like to come down for the day? Racing down the motorway through horizontal rain now buzzin! Passed through Richmond and who should I bump into? Mr Gray Git himself....you couldn't scriptmy life...phone's been ringing all day (thanks Charlton chips) and Mr Hobbsurf has made me an offer I cannot refuse:thumbup:it's all systems go!
  20. Very true Garden . And having met me you will have a very good idea of what I'm about.the bottom line is that I have no interest in what mountain man wrote...it was so negative and the first of it's kind in 846 or so pages.so it was certainly a one off;) my thread contains a fraction of the events in my life. It is just for Random stuff. It is for whatever the reader wants it to be.most of my work search is done face to face or on the telephone..I get very few messages...if anything, desperate times is about "Positivity" and "meeting people" with plenty of "Enthusiasm" thrown in for good measure....I've been doing what I do for 21 years now and am a very capable infividual as anyone who has worked with me will tell you.i welcome positive vibes and advice from anyone and everyone about everything but I am too long in the root to listen or acknowledge rant regarding myself....I just hit the Ignore button instantly.....that's how I roll....Nuff Said....I'm off to Lincoln!
  21. There are hundereds of pages in this thread...it rights itself and I have never been in control of it:D it is what it is...I've never been accused of being dull...many other things but not that....I actually caught the infection a year ago and it has been with me in varying degrees ever since..doctor said without Antibiotics it might have never left...these little capsules are great...bit dodgey on the bowels..apparantly they kill bad and good germs with leave the digestive tract open to irritation...so yeah G.K this time tommorow I will be in the role of coach doing something I have done a lot of unofficially over the years. Teaching and encouraging new folk in the industry is my favourite thing.i have the patience of a saint and I love to see people do well and achieve things so it's going to be amazing..shall post as I go. Have work related stuff to do whilst I'm there too!
  22. And easy to retrieve.
  23. I have this one. It is a climb changer!
  24. That's what the doctor said and apparantly they don't give them out freely these days...something about modern strains of virus are able to survive against them.
