Overcast but mild....expecting rain

During my London years i was always amazed how the planes were able to function let alone keep themselves rooted alongside so much concrete and tarmac as well as the constant flow of traffic etc...seeing their massive roots snaking out of the pavment and spilling into the roads over curbs and along the pavements as if they were asphixiated and gasping for air...

Could pavement,pin curbs and compaction have caused this David?

Good morning Mr Moose...simple answer to that is,i wouldn't know, i've been on holiday:D why? Did i miss something? Was hoping the weather had cooled down but it feels like another scorcher...just goes to show you can't always believe what you read.Hearsay,Rumours and chinese whispers all make for a good story but unless we know the actual facts.............best just to look out of the window.

Nice cold beer overlooking the River...i used to row at Bow past here every morning when i was a youth.

Its all located in the centre of the City...all within walking/drinking distance of anywhere else..and in Durham it's almost always across a bridge:)
