  1. I think you can get it to go that quick by fitting a Howard reduction gearbox into the standard tractor gearbox the wrong way around. A mate of mine did it.
  2. Here is the link: DENING OF CHARD TRACTOR PTO SAW BENCH on eBay (end time 11-Dec-09 16:46:12 GMT) You will need to copy and paste into your browser bar as I am not 100% sure how to add links. Sure there is an easier way
  3. Ive put my old Denning of chard saw bench on e-*$y Its blue and yellow. If anyones interested im open to offers.
  4. Does any one have any diagrams/drawings of a briquette press cone die? we have a press that can supply the pressure but we could do with a bit of help to work out how to make the extrudeing nozel.
  5. Hello mr Ed.But they cost a rudy fortune! I did think about horse bedding? The guy up the road said they would pull my hand off for it. But does it not need to be sterile and dust free although he said they dampen it a bit anyway.
  6. Well its been going all day. Its really quiet compared to the circular saw model. Im very impressed it kicks ass! But what to do with the 2 bulk bags of saw dust?
  7. :laugh1:It comes tomorrow i hope its gonna be ok. just need somthing to do with the sawdust. My old circular saw blade one made enough so i dont know how much this will make
  8. It has actually got quarter inch fish plates on the outside were the box meets the channel. You just cant see them from that angle.
  9. We can only get about 10 logs on it. It just to stop me dad nacking his back up this winter. we'll sort a proper one out in summer.
  10. If you look at the left hand side of the RSJ were palax(ish) is you can still see some concrete on the bottom of the old gate post. We think it gives it a rustic look!
  11. This is our log deck it was going to be hydraulic but the new machine comes in the morning so at the minute its mandraulic. We used an old sign post an old gate post and sum scrap box section it should work ok. We didnt think it quite looked good enough to paint red and badge up as a Palax deck so we called it Palax(ish) and painted it a nice snot green colour:biggrin:
  12. Well im on with making a hydraulic log deck today for my new processor should be fun! I'll have to post some pictures of it when its finished.
  13. I dont think you can go far wrong with a palax ive just traded in my old palax 600 combie for a palax ks35. the old 600 was 10 years old and it still worked very well.
  14. sorry it got traded back in for the new one
  15. I'll have to workout how to post pictures. I just hope the chainsaw part is ok and i dont have to spend half my time sharpening the chain. Im used to a carbon tipped circular saw blade thay last for ages.
  16. I should have my new Palax KS35 then. My old Palax 600 combie hasnt done bad its 10 yrs old. Lets hope this new one is as reliable. Just the small task of dismanteling the building we built round the old one so we can get the new one in. Our old Hymac 580D should make lite work of that. Anyone else use a track machine with timber grab to move there wood?
  17. And now its tears for fears everybody wants to rule the world! Why do i get the feeling no one cares? I'll get me coat.
  18. And were singing to simple minds on sing star. Dont you forget about me:thumbup:
  19. It feels a nice weight with no bar on. But i guess the 42" bar and chain will weigh nearly as much as some saws. I'll have to get a 20 odd" bar for it and see what its like. It still makes your heart jump that bit faster when yove not used it for a week or two and you pull that starter!(especialy when youve forgot to push the bloody decomp button in)
  20. I remember seeing those bundels on the backs of trucks going down the motorway!
  21. That probably cos him a 10er in petrol! if youve got to use a chainsaw he should have got himself a husky 3120 xp! That is of course if he was man enough! Probably would have dragged him through the cut to! anyway im busy getting sloted and singing out of tune to sing star at full belt! The neighbours are gona love me. Shame im tone deaf:lol:
  22. I will have to put a 15" bar on it then make a bracket that sticks out 40" infront with a brick tied to it as a counter balance! On a serious note the saw weighs a smidge over 10 KG with no bar. What size bar would you recomend i get for general work 20" maybe?
  23. I know just what you mean its each to there own. Stihl are a very good saw you only need to look at all the people that use them they cant be that bad! But Huskys are better:lol: Sorry i coudnt resist!
  24. Ive opened a right can of worms here havent i!
  25. She is a beast but at least you dont need to press on when your slabing up rings!
