  1. Mull, what is going on in this pic?
  2. His best video in a while, some people say the most stupid things without thinking about them first.... [ame= ] [/ame]
  3. Muslim Council of Britain is demanding more police should be stationed at Mosques. I couldn't agree more. .
  4. Cheers folks. Yeah Balfron Wallis. Dunmore St/Banker's Brae area. I agree it's a Humboldt turned into a Swanson. Yeah, not an easy cut to make near ground level. Much easier above that fence though. See pic below for Humboldt/Swanson. Cheers. Hear what you're saying Pete. I wanted to do as many things as I could to make sure the butt landed away from the stump/fence/garage. The undermining of the centre of gravity or as near as, the small hinge, the Humboldt/Swanson to make sure the butt landed away from the stump and nowhere near the fence. The pull line. The log crash matt. Slowed the vid down here to show how the butt end slides down and away from the stump. I've found the conventional cut wont throw the tree as far as a Humboldt unless you're chasing the back cut through the hinge. All these things depend on so many variables/experience it's difficult to pin down a right way, in this situation I also didn't want to be near the trunk as it came over to I set it up the best I could to throw it off the stump from the pull line. Notice how the tree only starts rotating when it hits the logs - [ame= ] [/ame]
  5. Spot on, it also keeps the fall inline, when the top face cut meets the straight edge of the lower scarf it helps break the hinge evenly stopping any rolling to the side which Spruce can be bad for. .
  6. Used a Humboldt cut on a Norway Spruce trunk the other day to make sure it broke off the stump ending up as far away from the garages as possible and not flattening the wire mesh fence. Posting this for anyone who hasn't use a Humboldt before. Saw is a 66 with 36" bar, highlift and 2 gransfors steel wedges, light pull on rope to help it over. [ame= ] [/ame]
  7. well worked job .
  8. Only a party as brainless as the SNP could claim that losing a third of its MPs and half of its vote means a stronger mandate for a second Scottish independence referendum. SNP accused of being in denial over election after minister claims mandate remains for indy ref 2 .
  9. 88% of the MPs that were just elected, stood on manifestos committing us to leaving the single market. .
  10. Ha ha ha, the stunning ignorance of Corbyn voters/supporters knows no bounds, check this out - Hillary Clinton emails: Labour sought DUP election pact - The Irish News .
  11. No surprises here then with this story, the ever insidious creeping Islamisation of the UK continues.......If you voted Labour you are giving tacit approval to the Islamist's agenda....another example of the stupidity of Corbyn voters being complicit in acting against western democratic values. Tony Blair's New Labour policy of mass immigration certainly achieved it's goal of creating millions of new Labour voters. British Muslims Urged to Vote Labour To Further Islamic Interests .
  12. Wonder how many Corbyn voters are aware of how hellish life is now in Chavez's 'socialist utopian' Venezuela? .
  13. Ladies and gentlemen I give you Corbyn supporters waving the hammer and sickle outside Downing Street last night - For those uneducated among us - the hammer and sickle is every bit as offensive as the swastika. Millions died under its tyranny. .
  14. Big council estates in the Kensington ward, Momentum went hell for leather there getting people out to vote for the 'Steptoe looking tw@t' Which is how they described him so everyone knew who they were talking about. .
  15. Reg, well done on getting it down safely. That was definitely one was one of those rare occasions when you have to tell the client the job is going to cost more because of an unforeseen problem you've just discovered when you got up into the tree. From my own experience, the problem with continuing with that tree after finding the structural defect (which altered the original plan considerably ie job going to take longer) was that it affects your mental state meaning you're unnecessarily distracted. .
  16. Wee Alec booted out Mull eh, priceless. .
  17. Tory seats - 318 versus Labour seats - 262 Labour Lost Losers.
  18. Here you go .
  19. The scale of Corbyn's failure: Corbyn couldn't win against the WORST conservative campaign and manifesto in memory. That's how bad he was. .
  20. The DUP are positively rational and reasonable people compared with the Marxists/communists of Labour, ethno-nationalists of the SNP, eco loons of the Greens, Irish republicans of Sinn Fein and the Farronesque clowns of the LibDems. .
  21. The May/Trump era of politics is vastly more entertaining than the boring Blair/Clinton/Obama/Cameron era. Every cloud and all that - Salmond getting the boot is a brilliant result ......Bet Donald is having a wee chuckle to himself about that.
  22. Channel 4. WTF?! how can people watch that drivel. Labour voters no doubt. .
