  1. never mind that. Thats the last fosters super chilled. I see the Truman show is on the thread TV.
  2. I do, I feel ever so special. Would you like a beer? Grab one from the imaginary thread fridge. Make yourself at home, come and go as you please. But none of that foul language, or fighting.
  3. I definately see brown. maybe crimson brown, but brown all the same.
  4. Are you talking brown?
  5. That would be `neoglism' as opposed to `neogolism'. neoglism as far as I understand it, is a modern word, phrase or language uasage that hasn't yet made it to the dictionary, and maybe won't.
  6. You seem to have sussed it out. I take it you don't feel stressed out. You dont feel that if you worked extra hours, you could earn even more? I love the 6 hours aday. Do your guys also work 6 hrs? Are they happy about six hours money, or are you also rare in that you pay well? I wish more people could chill out as you seem to have. Dude.
  7. Must be esoteric irony, as I fail to see it and irony is my favorite colour.
  8. I have two jobs and careers. I do 10 hrs tree surgery and then go to work after the kids are in bed until about 2-4am. I do this because I have too. or you could say because I am an idiot.
  9. neoglism... looked it up. LOL
  10. neoglism?
  11. They didn't know enough to make that call. Really not interested when I contacted them. Even for data purposes, you'd think they would investigate. How can we improve our PPE if the laws that dictate the spec is backed up by hearsay and superstition; as opposed from actual data from accidents.
  12. he heh
  13. Stop bringing reality into it.
  14. Yes. saw was running at 21000rpm. Fixing saws doesn't make profit. The same material is in all trousers as far as I know. It's design is based on forestry use, not arb.
  15. I look just like him too.
  16. Columbo? yes thats my dad.
  17. Laugh out Loud! I had kickback in a tree about 7 years ago. the 020 went though my trousers and cut my thigh muscle from my knee. Very bloody. Saw didn't pick up a single thread from the trousers. Kickback was my stupid mistake. saw going through trousers was a mix of ineffective PPE and employer not allowing time to maintain saws or even buying a tacho. Saw was running at excessive speed. HSE not interested in case. Tried finding HSE data on saw accidents. Rubbish.
  18. I'm not an idiot. Acts are stupid, doesn't follow that the person is stupid.
  19. A few years back I watched the climb competition at Highclear. I have a background in rock climbing and was interested to see the top climbers were slow and methodical making deliberate movements with fluidity usually reserved for martial arts and rock climbing. (interesting that Nod was one of them) I have always allowed my rock experience to influence my tree climbing. I think most good rock climbers do some form of yoga every day. Having said that, I haven't yogised for some years now. Time.
  20. If the HSE were more pro-active with prevention, in as far as policing required legislation, there would be less competition. Less competition would mean higher pricing, thus less pressure. This would make it more financially viable to have less experienced climbers and ground staff working on the jobs (along side more experienced members obviously). I'm an old dog and I encourage our newbie climbers to do as much as is safely possible, I enjoy passing on my experience to enthusiastic climbers and my employer is usually OK with this. Although I still rush when I know the job requires it, I am aware that such rushing is risky. It's difficult not to rush when you are self motivated. I wish I could reject any pressure I feel from management, but it's hard to do so, wanting to please as I do. I had a major accident after 16 years at the coal face. I got complacent.
  21. Free PC with a litre of diesel. The future.
  22. I dont want to admit to anything illegal. But if I used limewire, I'd have amazon open at the same time, checking I had all the tracks from an album in the right order, or a discography. I'd also check the size of the file as this gives a clue to weather it's a legit track or witchcraft. Loads of spyware/ virus software running will keep you safe. Most people are happy to graze the hits from most albums. Can I take this opportunity to endorse taking profits from super rich pop stars and record companies, thus helping them to buy less cocaine. I would also like to discourage posters from downloading tracks by up and coming artists, as they need all the drugs they can get. Ta.
  23. Desktop will be cheaper. Plus much easier to upgrade and fix. Bigger screens and speakers, proper keyboard. I know nothing about self build, but know many people who have built very high spec machines for very little money by this route. Dell make very good and affordable desktops. I can't vouch for after sales service. I have two desktops and I had both made for me. Previous to that, I went to PC world of pain. Never again! Attach it to a generator and put the whole lot in a wheel barrow.
  24. confidence will get you everywhere. Not me by the way. Found it on web thing.
