Saw one of these demoed at the gadget show, waterproof to 1m, durable and can withstand a drop from around 60' according to the guy on the stand. Made with glass 5 times as strong as gorilla glass also. One of our arborists is getting one as he likes the idea of it....

totaly agree, we get the same all the time. education is the key, even if you have to refer them to the TO

So true, its come to the point now within our authority that the TO has to notify local residents, and cllrs to what work we are carrying out, thus giving residents the chance to voice any concerns they may have.

We often get folk approach us, with the classic "why are you felling that tree" when we are just doing a crown lift, thin etc so we always try and explain the reasons why we are doing the work. I suppose our responses are quite vague, but usually our answers to there questions are good enough....

I don't mind a bit of Saturday work where I can help you out mate, I'd have to fit it around my work though.... (local authority climber also running my own business) I could do atleast 2 a month I reckon.... If that's any help...?

Paul abbotts @ specialist arboricultural services, it was a bispoke design, and he was planning to take one to the arb fair last yr but didn't in the end(as we were using it) I'm sure now he has the blueprint the cost should be quite lower than what we paid at the council....

I see what u mean from that last pic, we tend to take it off, but have fed it from the trailer on a few occasions, it does feed quite well into the truck from the trailerjust making sure the chute is in the correct position u could drop the tailgate on the trailer to give u a good working position to the indeed hopper.

He must have run out of the "standard motorcycle crash helmet" i dont think lego make petzl vertex helmets to fit there men

Meant to put this on a couple of weeks back but ive been busy, simple story, the lad from the job decided to make a lego construction of us at work... quite a good attempt if you ask me....
