  1. The jobs in oxfordshire garth, the hedge is stuck between a house (20' away) and a farmers field , of which luckily i have arranged access! and i hadnt thought about the whole tree chipper.. could be the way to go actually.. ill have to have a look see what i can figure with the access and prices!
  2. yeah i considered that til i took a good look at all of the trees and their actual spacing and realised that they now all have between about 6 and 8 inches max space between! Think i gonna just have to put 2 prices in, one to remove all the stumps etc as asked, then another without when they realise how much its gonna cost! cheers for the info so far guys, all i need now is to figure what to do with the pissin trunks anyone sell it off cheap as firewood or anythin?
  3. Yeah i did wonderabout just grinding them out, the owenr is likely to want to replace with a multiple native species hedge at some point, if leaving the roots systems in situ, i guess this should really affect the planting of anything new would it??
  4. guys, any ideas on this would be gratefully recieved: I may have to remove a row of 55 leylandiis (65') to groung and then dig the rootballs out for all of them. have had a quick measure up of the trunks and a lot of them are about 5'6" in girth at the base and tapering up with the normal leylandii traits. Now thats gonna be a hell of a lot of wood to get rid off and i was wondering if any of you guys had any thoughts on the best course of action for getting rid of them, ie, burning, paying for removal, biofuel plants etc etc? also any thoughts on the stumps and root balls would be greatfully recieved.. cheers guys:001_smile:
  5. I take 5 grams of creatine a day but i had no idea anger was one of the side effects?! i have personally never noticed any change but hen maybe im just too grumpy generally? :tongue_smilie: also i use bodyfortress whey protein but have also never had anyy pros with anger? however it is bloody expensive stuff. which can contribute enduce anger at times :tongue_smilie:
  6. agreed... with this rare spell of good weather we're having at the mo i have seen a few jobs looking like a rush job while the weather is good kinda thing. be safe yeah, aint no point getting that tree down in the dry if its likely to end up being your last one. take it easy guys.
  7. just a couple of quickies, does the fungi have to be found only on wood? or is all fungi allowed? and also do they have to be of the autumn season? as i have a couple of good pics of morels from the spring that i recon aint too shabby
  8. actually guys i dont think the trailer does need to be a box that you cant see through, I did mine with a 16" beavertail behind a pickup (supplied by the centre), so im guessing it was all legal and kosher. however that was a couple years back now so legislation could well have changed of course...
  9. yeah i got one of the power balls, i use it a lot for rock climbing and its really smart as its well effective. but you can dump it in the car or whatever and it takes up no space. i'd def say they are worth it.
  10. hey tim, im completely new to the forum also and am in almost exactly the same situation as you, obsessive rock climber, a degree in ecological conservation, ND in woodland management, worked with tree surgeons, and now aiming completely towards a career in climbing, let me know what you think of the online courses? as i have been thinking of doing something similar myself. ps, hope all is well with your expected!
