  1. there 25.5 inhes mate from eye to eye-exactly as you requried! it sounds silly but ive really got no idea on the price!! ive never bought a spliced rope so unsure of the prices-just give me what you think its worth mate. the secret stuff is still secret-cmon tony!!!!!!!!
  2. is that from the kauri museum?
  3. yes it is LSD but i dont think the basic is for sale anymore-and the price over here was ridiculous for the basic. This is just a cheap rope guide that will be within the price range of most climbers. Rupe- ive tried the wire inside the splice butn went with a rubber insert as i didint like the possibility of the wire rubbing and chafing the fibres and also the soft eye wont get caught in crotches. the webbing also flicks the cocoon up so that it slips through the eye better-im not rel keen on the rubber bit on the basic and primus as you cant install from the ground.
  4. no worries adam ill bring one down for ya. its always monteiths over DB mate!
  5. i think ive finally managed to nail making a really really good rope saver. Ive had about 11 diff versions of this one but this one works really sweet. Installation from the ground is super easy, the only metal component is the cocoon, soft eye doesnt snag in any crotches(and ive jammed it in some tight pinoak crotches), retrieves every time with just a little tug (yanking hard is the worst thing to do), double snapper fits on it too. if anyone in NZ wants one im going to be selling them too under the DBTree brand! (sorry about the plug).the tape around the cocoon wont be on the for sale items btw, something a bit neater will be.
  6. will definetly do it mate but its just whether ive got time before i go away! and ive never worked out a price to be honest-how much do you reckon? oh and ive had all my splices destruction tested to.............(and they held).
  7. No wories mate!! pm me what size you want and how many you require-be quick though as im off in2 weeks and away for 6.good hintin'
  8. Is this the size you wanted bro? (rich rule)

  13. I found the tachyon slippy when it was new too, it seems very plasticky-was also quite easy to glaze on quick descents. once its worn in though it loses the slippy feel and can take the heat a lot better. excellent rope.
  14. no worries bro, do a search for extendable bridge and theres some pics of how the o operates. cant make jonesies do due to other commitments already arranged:thumbdown:
  15. Here ya go Mark-$10 per metre approx.im going to splice some up for rich rule too so there wont be 25m on the spool by the time it gets to the uk sorry-but tbh you wont need that much as it lasts ages
  16. i think it moves a bit smoother than the pantin tony
  17. Same here dean, its well annoying.
  18. This is the o rig mate, i use a fishermans instead of a splice here so that it rolls over the revolver a bit smoother
  19. I ll bring a 25m roll over then. i cant remember the cost at the moment but it shouldnt be too much as the freight was normally the killer. I was definetly coming to jonesies bash but it turns out im returning from the tomato fest in spain on the fri and wedding on the saturday. i will be doing heaps of travelling over the uk when im there so itll be easy peasy catchin up with you to drop it off-ill try and get a price today:001_cool:
  20. I can bring up to about 50m over with me in 3 weeks (havent got room for any more) if ya keen mark.
  21. i quite often climb on an o rig system and the spliced eye doesnt work as well in that situation, so ive left it unspliced. but i think i was lucky this time!
  22. Was out practicing some single line climbing on sunday, it started to rain so went to untie my top anchor in a rush. Decided to descend om normal vt setup and just clipped into the end eye without really checking it. On the end of my line ive got a small eye to clip into to retrieve stuff (redis, etc..). I think i made it look to strong so ive now got just a bit of throwline there. The descend was about 8 metres and pretty quick, i think i got away pretty lucky:scared1:
  23. nah bro its a secret one with a twin next to it:closedeyes:
  24. i really need some new boots.........
