  1. I can get the rotator and flash chat but not the forum.
  2. Are we? Its not working for me.
  3. Tree House down? Shoot. I guess I'll have to reengage with the family now. What's that little blond girl's name who's always asking me inane questions while I'm trying keep up with everyone's posts. Hmm, Hannah? No that's not right. I'm sure it will come to me after I remember who the lady who cooks meals is and what her name is. How long will the site be down? I just want to know how much of this interacting with flesh and blood people I should get involved with.
  4. I've been listening to Steve Winwood's new album. I don't see any of the songs on the web yet but its a good listen. He's got himself another flute player and the sound is very much like vintage traffic. Here are a couple of old dudes doing a classic. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3052QFRu-1Q[/ame]
  5. Thanks poster formerly known as Roller.
  6. Evidently some time has passed since High School. The Finn Brothers [ame] [/ame]

  9. When I was in high school I was big into the Split Enz. I was perhaps the only one in my school who was. I still think its fun stuff. [ame] [/ame]
  10. What kind of elm? Does it smell bad?
  11. I want one of those.
  12. I was an English major in college (before they kicked me out) and took Brit Lit. classes as well as American Literature. I was reading an article online in a British news paper and it quoted Mark Twain, a personal favorite of mine, and it got me wondering, what American authors resonate with Britons. Is it interesting or fun to read Huckleberry Finn as a kid and imagine yourself floating down the Mississippi river? Which American authors do you enjoy? Its not particularly imaginative of me but I have always enjoyed Charles Dickens, Rudyard Kipling and C.S. Forester. I like adventure I guess.
  13. So no teddy bear's picnic I am guessing? [ame] [/ame]
  14. I have been listening to this old tune and really enjoying it. Iggy Pop must save a fortune by not wearing shirts. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hv6Wi0tN6k[/ame]
  15. I wear Bugz Eyes. I like them because they don't fog up. They do let fine particles in like when you are cutting dead wood. Here is where I buy them in the States: http://www.baileysonline.com/itemdetail.asp?item=35750&catID= I like earplugs just fine although I feel I am getting more sensitive to noise so I might double up and use ear plugs and ear phones.
  16. We had a professional photographer come take pictures of a silver maple removal over a house the other day. Here are some picts. There are more at this site: http://clients.kitsinger.com/dt-080519-proofs/
  17. Living in one tiny corner of a planet, in one tiny corner of of our solar system, which resides in one tiny corner of the much larger cosmos and living for merest fraction of time, I think it would be absurdly hubristic of me to suggest that I know the true nature and purpose of everything.
  18. Not being able to stay on top of a leaning pole.
  19. The kid knows the words better than I do. I like how he says "better."
  20. I think the point is to share what YOU like. Its pretty easy to skip over the stuff that isn't to your liking.
  21. What did the Brits do before the discovery of tea?
