  1. Seem like everything you bitch about in the UK.
  2. You studying is good. Me getting a degree is something you mock. Who is the clown?
  3. Says you. You know **************** all, you have to use post it notes for refresher exams. Bit thick but done well financially by whoring yourself to highest bidder. Sure they'll be talking about your legend long after you're dust.

  5. UK government debt (known as gilts) is primarily held by a mix of domestic and international financial institutions. Major holders include private financial institutions (pension funds, insurance companies, banks), overseas investors, and the Bank of England. As of late 2025, foreign investors hold roughly 28-30% of UK gilts, with the Bank of England holding a significant portion (roughly 25-30%) via Quantitative Easing. Other (approx. 10%): This includes individuals (via National Savings and Investments), public sector bodies, and other entities. Private Financial Institutions (approx. 39%): UK-based banks, insurance companies, and pension funds are major investors, often holding debt for long-term security. Overseas Investors (approx. 30%): Foreign central banks, governments, and private investors hold a significant portion of UK debt. Bank of England (approx. 30%): Through the Asset Purchase Facility (Quantitative Easing), the Bank of England holds a substantial portion, though it is currently reversing this and selling bonds . The Debt Management Office (DMO), an executive agency of HM Treasury, manages the issuance of this debt. Who owns government debt? - Economics Help WWW.ECONOMICSHELP.ORG Government debt is primarily held by banks, pension funds, investment trusts. PRivate sector investors both domestic and... If the government owes so much debt perhaps we should invade whoever has our money and get it back.
  6. Aye, My perspective is that the axis has shifted such that those who have wealth will accumulate more and more in an exponential fashion, while everyone else pays for the other side of that coin. That isn't going to end well. I agree, the whole left/right thing is tiring. They're (politicians) either tossers or not, tie colour matters not. I also think approaching someone's view from the basis they are right or left helps nobody. We all mostly have common ground.

  8. Different scales, as you well know. How's that king cab pickup working out for you? Don't try to play the fool, you do it with the race baiting, it just makes you look like a dick. Envy (loathing)plays a part in things, as it's not on that you or I will make the interest he earns though nothing, when we work long hours, away from family, in inhospitable conditions. The wee people in society will be even more stuffed if we don't do something soon.
  9. Nail on head. Westminster Estate is just one of many. They take our resources and put it in trusts where they have sole access to it. So aye, tax the wealth.
  10. Cheers Grok.
  11. The Duke of Westminster inherited a 10billion estate and payed no tax at all on it. That's the sort of wealth that should be taxed. He is an example of the super rich that Polanski is referring to.. https://www.currypopeck.com/news/trust-enabled-duke-of-westminster-to-avoid-billions-in-tax/

  13. You might as well every time you post something even broadly political.
  14. I'd rather shit in my hands and clap.
  15. Nor do I. That's why I offered you the bet.
  16. Ah right. I thought all your anti Labour and pro Reform clatter indicated you were a supporter of theirs. I do apologise. Who do you think you will vote for?

  18. Just a moment... WWW.PERPLEXITY.AI The people who are defecting to Reform are the very same people who handled the pandemic, which you loved as much as anyone else. Do you want to bet me 500 quid that Reform, should they get in at next elections will not lose the following one? Winner sends the winnings to Changing Lives, a charity that helps victims of grooming gangs, and those exposed to generally shit times. https://www.changing-lives.org.uk/
  19. That's the way it's looking in terms of where Reform are heading. Hopefully the Greens won't go the same way and take on Labour MPs. The politicians who have been in charge have clearly been incompetent, why would anyone give them another chance? Our communities deserve more than the same reconstituted food served up with different coloured dye.
