  1. mate of mine returned home one day from delivering a load of wood and found his wife trapped in the shed by a large black cockerel who was exactly as aggressive as the ones you describe, he asked me to deal with it and he was a fine looking fellow,I didn't want to dispatch him, so I went round late at night when he was roosting and bundled him rather noisily into a hessian sack, and left him in the lorry overnight, in the morning I let him out in my yard with some food and water and left him to it, when I came home later he totally ignored me and actively kept out of my way, we became more friendly after a week and he would often follow me around when I loaded wood and get the worms and grubs I disturbed.he never once went for me, I guess he thought he better behave or he might go back in the sack. I think they are a little like dogs, if you don't establish yourself as pack leader,,, they will.

  7. more to come too, new album in new year. The Damned official page, · The Damned would proudly like to announce the release of a new studio album titled “Not Like Everybody Else”. The LP is a tribute to the late Brian James and each tune has been chosen because they were by artists that had an impact on Brians guitar playing and in turn his songwriting and in turn the Damned as a band. The album is made up of 10 tracks which we recorded in just 5 days at the end of a hectic US tour, which made the timing perfect - we were in exactly the right frame of mind to give it our all. Dave Vanian, Paul Gray and Captain Sensible were joined in the studio by Rat Scabies, who hadn’t sat on the Damned drum throne for 30 years and what a difference he makes. “Not Like Everybody Else” also has an irony not to be missed as track 10 is the encore that we recorded at Hammersmith Apollo on 29 October 2022 and is a live version of “This Could Be The Last Time” which sadly it was, as it was the very last time Brian played on stage with the Damned. Pre-save now: https://damned.lnk.to/NotLikeEverybodyElsePR The first single to be released on 30th October is R Dean Taylor’s classic “There’s A Ghost In My House” delivered with the unmistakable energy and dark charm that the Damned do so well.

  11. some of the older saws I have were ran on mixtures of 25;1, and some even 16;1 when stripping them I often find pure oil in the carbs, the petrol being long evaporated, back then they would often use just plain engine oil, they all lasted decades on the stuff, they say the latest 2t oils don't need so much 50;1 being common. I do run the oldies on modern 2t oils but usually around 30-40 ;1 no issues so far.
  12. biofuels absorb water. Biofuels such as Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME) biodiesel and ethanol are hygroscopic, meaning they readily attract and hold moisture from the air. also with diesel it supports a bacteria ,commonly known as "diesel bug" that will multiply at an alarming rate until it renders the affected fuel system totally inoperative. there are chemical products available, "biocides" that can reduce and eradicate this bacteria.

  14. ^this^ I have had saws literally given to me free because people who were recommended to use aspen and similar as their infrequent usage of saws resulted in having to take the saw to be rejuvenated often at great expense each year because they did not do as Stubby suggests, they changed to electric, I end up with a decent saw that never gives me any trouble. happy days.
