  1. I used a large motorcycle chain link, all the hyd levers on my tractor are the same.
  2. good call, Alternately it is entirely possible to agree with someones post without engaging with those that oppose it, it appears often the problem start not when the post is originally made, but by the usual few that simply cannot accept any viewpoint other than their own and choose to pursue the poster with much venomous diatribe. and it isn't long before the rest join in. isn't there some advice about not feeding trolls. an example would be a joke is posted, you have multiple choices, laugh at it, and decide whether or not to place a "like,,laugh, etc", from the list provided. don't find it at all funny, move on look for something else. it serves no logical purpose to add derogatory comments and take up time whining about the jokes content, or using it to relentlessly attack the poster, and then accuse them of being the problem.
  3. Italian actress Claudia Cardinale, star of The Leopard and Pink Panther, dies aged 87 | LBC WWW.LBC.CO.UK Acclaimed Italian actress Claudia Cardinale, who starred in The Pink Panther and Once...

  7. a feckin' sight better than a creaky old bastard with an axe. and dead easy to convert to single lever operation.
  8. UK is finished, decent working people are being shafted by labor, and previously by tories, reform won't cure the problem as no matter how much sugar you put on sh1t, it's still sh1t. they will all lie to us to get in power then line their pockets in the relatively short time they have, because being the "opposition" is easy, just disagree with whoever is in the hot seat. and when they get their chance they bend us over and it's just a different prick. to be honest some of the feckers on here could start an argument in an empty room, and seem to search the forums for somebody to attack, and often for some long lost dispute from years ago. the way things are going at the moment within this country I'll wager any forum that has a section that covers politics is much the same. the country is sick to death of immigrant invasion, rape gangs, bent politicians, cover up after cover up, is it any wonder discord is rife. you can ban people, you can ban discussion on this or any other forum, but you cant cure the problem by ignoring it, hiding it, or hiding from it, people will feel the same, division will still exist. just my opinion, there are others.
  9. I have the very same model and I agree 100%, starts 1st pull, works all day and nothing has beaten it yet.
  10. what feckin' thread am I on, they're all starting to look the feckin' same!
  11. I honestly don't remember anything about the heads,Stubby, to be fair it was a long while ago, I can't even remember the blokes surname. only Gary something.
  12. not sure about the heads, but it had a single inch and a 1/16th amal instead of the usual 7/8", and yes it was Golden and I had a go on it, the brakes were feckin' crap, far too small and ineffective for the performance. as it happens I have a new amal inch and 1/16th carb in the shed, never been on a bike, 300 odd quid now.
  13. "Never a giant octopus around when ya feckin' need one"
  14. I recall racing one belonging to a mate, his was the "super sports" version, as I had a Tribsa with a tiger 110 motor I thought it would be a walkover, I got quite the surprise when he took off from the line, and seemed quicker than I anticipated, he kept with me to just over 80 and then I left him behind in the distance. the ariel was bog standard, they did have a bit of a following back then, but most had c15,s ss80,s, tiger cubs, royal enfields, ajs/matchless, even a few francis barnets. I saw a few tuned versions later and they were even quicker. IIRC they were good in the twisties, the low center of gravity helped no doubt.
  15. I had the very same thing happen to me twice, once with a sparrowhawk, that hit my french windows and was unconscious, I checked and as far as I could tell, no bones broken, I placed it it a quiet place and kept an eye on it, within 10-15 minutes it had regained consciousness and after a short time flew off strongly. an almost identical occurrence but with a kingfisher and a different window, that to survived, it was dazed but not knocked out completely, my missus took a picture of it and did a cross stitch picture of it. but the oddest one was a robin being pursued by a sparrohawk that flew inside my open combat jacket and hid until the threat passed, the sparrowhawk veering off rapidly upon seeing me, I was driving the tractor at the time. I remember feeling it's heart beating at a rapid rate. where I was working at the time you only had to pick up a spade and the local robin would follow you to where you started digging and were tame enough to take worms and grubs from your hand.
  16. bloody terrible, lost all power to the house and the workshop, took all day to isolate the fault, mice chewed a cable and had to practically dismantle the feckin' workshop to find it. had to isolate every circuit to find the fault, lights, sockets, 32 amp for lathe and milling machine, kinda hard to work around all the saws, so all had to be removed before any progress could be made. sorted now, power back on and everything working as it should, my terrier was going mental searching for the culprit, I have placed a dozen traps for the little feckers, so hopefully tomorrow I can get the McCulloch going.
  17. It might be a while before I can post anything guys, I was taking my evening walk and I saw this huge beam of strange light in the dark evening sky, I went closer to where it was shining directly on the ground and suddenly it sort of made me feel really odd and actually started to lift me upwards and towards it's source, It seemed to take ages but I saw a huge craft unlike anything I had ever seen,,, I think I may have gone unconscious shortly afterwards. when I awoke I found myself surrounded by a small group of the most beautiful women I have ever seen, "we wish you no harm" the leader said, "our race is dying as nearly all our men were killed in a galactic battle that has lasted many years, we need handsome, virile, intelligent males of a species like us to breed with to save our race" So guys, I don't think many of you are in any danger,, I just wanted to let you know,,,this spaceship is feckin' awesome.
  18. I'll put this here to save starting another thread, I bid on a little McCulloch last week, mainly because I needed a few bits for the one I have already, looked all there but "doesn't turn over" so it was cheap, less than the price of 20 cigs at todays prices. so I unpacked it today and sure enough it's locked solid, so I remove the plug cap thinking I'll squirt some fuel in the bore and see if it'll free up, and there's a piston stop screwed in it, I remove it and it turns over perfectly, and it has a good spark, and great compression, it's in better nick than the one I hoped to repair, so that will be the donor to this one, I'll pull it apart properly tomorrow and I expect it will be running by the afternoon, all being well.
  19. she was Jaggers girlfriend for a while, I can see the attraction.
