MMMmmm, if they arent "essential" why on earth do they make it a requirment? otherwise it would be a "choice"

 

ALL PPE should be VAT excempt:sneaky2:

 

Its what i heard,I think they are essential, but what the industry and H & S think is essential ppe and what is deemed by customs and excise, can be two different things.

 

I would be interested in the answer aswell, im sure a supplier can clarify it or i may not sleep tonight :001_rolleyes:

Being classed as non-essential by the vat office may not mean the same thing as being required safety equipment by specific industry regulators, i.e. maybe they come under trousers at the VAT office.

 

I can't say that i wouldn't ware them if it wasn't required, they're just a common sense safety precaution.
