Nothing else comes close to them? The dolmar and stihl equivalent don't handle the same and feel as if they weigh twice as much.

Hey there josh The Dolmar 6100 is a bigger bodied saw and has a totally different feel to it compared to the 560

So it looks like the 5105 will be the saw for you too try next week

And see how you like the feel of it

everyone likes different machines at the end of day  Dolmar have built this saw with the sole purpose of having one saw to cover felling limbing and crosscutting they gave it a large fuel and oil capacity tanks so less time wasted filling and fuel economy is very good on this saw and it has the performance for sure it turns out 200PSI compression and Dolmar have kept there low down power and bags of torque It also has a max rpm of 13800

There are several factors that make it look and feel a lot bigger

A bigger engine mass

A Fatter tank body

Easy start meaning wider starter assembly

A wider loop handle

Longer back handle

Higher flat top cover

Bigger it sure is and maybe it isn't the most nimble of saw on a 15" bar

But stick a 20" -24" bar on this saw and bury it in big wood it will perform

Al day and everyday without problems

This particular 6100H has been around the country on demo for months from Scotland ,Wales, Cheshire , Kent, Lincolnshire and It's earned its living it's had a hard life with all aspects of work and I've had alot sales fron this saws performance , on top of that I've used it regularly on the times it's been home too roost :thumbup:

Will be in touch josh about swapping saws mate

I've got to agree on this, at least as far as the 6100 is concerned. I had one on a long term demo from Shavey and I really liked it, a good all round saw and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if you're looking for one saw to do all your work, likes of a farmer, fencer, cutting your own firewood etc. But it wasn't as nice to use as the 560 in flat out commercial cutting. More versatile, yes, capable of doing it, yes, but not as flat out good. I've had 2 560's and will be having a third, never had any problems with them. Will consider a 6100 if I'm replacing the 365, but not as a replacement for the 560. Would be interested in trying the 5105, heard good things about that one.

As an aside, I've been running a 560 on 50:1 for two years now without issue. (Probably blow up tomorrow now :001_rolleyes:)

Good evening Wallace this is the same saw you had up with you :thumbup:
