it a viciousee circle chaps.

i read all these postings on hear about how bad things are how cheap prices are for tree work how can you be expected to compete and run a good buisness with such rubbish profit.

all sounds like british airways, KLM etc when freddie laker started, what happend he whent bancrupt, as do so many cheap places, but not all, interesting that many of the big brands put restrictions on what you can and cant sell over the phone and on line etc, its all just a slippery slope.

just like the price of tree work, think how you get the hump when you 'percive someone comming on your teritory and knicking your work' chains direct are they any differant?????

depressed kev here !!! as for our man from cambridge i have to say if he cant get a good service from his local shop then he needs to move on cos just like cutters shops are about delivering service, and playing by the rules.

having said that i have bought off the net too

no ones perfect not least of all me

kev

The internet has completely destroyed the sales side of my generator business. I get plagued by people ringing up for advice which can take up to two hours to work out and quote their requirements. On a £7000 genset we make £250 if we are lucky. Our answer was to pack that side of the business in . Unfortunately now the customer can only buy from box shifters so are buying blind.
