which fuel filter?

Ive had my saw for 2 years and am thinking its time to change the fuel filter

 

anyway - i cant find the part number in the manual!

 

can anybody tell me the part number for the fuel filter for an MS 171 please?

Wouldnt a generic filter do the job?

On ebay you can buy a service kit for those saws,includes air filter, fuel filter and plug usually about 12 quid

I find the Walbro filters to be good .

Local Stihl dealer will have them in stock I would think. They are fairly generic across the range.

As in the one on my ms170 is the same as an fs 85 I'm almost sure.

They are about £2
