Perfect kindling by the sounds of it. I now only ever light the stove using the top to bottom method. Larger logs at the bottom, smaller next and then light the kindling on top. Try it, very efficient, burns all the gases......

I've Hever heard of that method before, sounds like a lot less fussing about, do you still use any paper to get the kindling going?

I use a firelighter then throw on a few logs (larch mainly) and away she goes, not used kindlers for a good number of years now.

This sounds tempting, but what am I going to do with all the old fence panels I have stacked up in my yard?

I just use a small bit of a firefighter. The flames burn all the rising gases, making a far cleaner start to the fire. Try it, it really works.

We have clean, dry, straight cut, uniform kindling packed into 4kg nets, ready to go at £1.65 when you buy 250 at a time. This includes delivery up to 25 miles from SY10 9JQ, (Oswestry), further by negotiation. Anyone interested?

nice to see someone put their prices out there for a change.

I just use some small logs and blowtorch to get mine going.
