Husqvarna T540xp mark 2 problems

I have an early mk1 never had any issues apart from the av spring, bought a new 201tc early on in the year and the plastics on that are poor with simular cracking like you have shown, it as also gutless till I drilled the exhaust and related set the auto tune, v nice now but plastics are still fragile.

And the fact that despite holding back the launch of the saw for two years to 'iron out' the problems, Huskie still managed to produce a poor quality product.

 

Good performer, but poor design in many areas.

 

Often issues only show up when new saws are put in to daily use of climbers who are damn hard on their kit. Most of the Husky faults were these type of faults rather than standard running issue ones where I would have less sympathy.

Well there's me crowing on here last week about my 540 going strong and now it's in kit form. The AV mount must have cracked and pulling it free from a fork did the rest of the damage. £280 to repair it and yes I am having it repaired instead of scrapping it. When the day comes that it can't even cough then I will buy another t540

What have you done to it ?

I've repaired a few that needed a new fuel tank/handle section and cylinder cover and it cost no where near that much
