not sure if youd need a visa adam. is sweden part of eu?

Yes we are. Since 1995.....

No we are not a part of the monetarian union so we still use our Kingportraited coins called Krona...

Not sure about visa...but u will need a workpermit, which I belive is sligtly different, check with the Swedish Embassy;

bit of a weird one i think drew, i think they are like england not in the eu but part of europe, not to sure how it works but i know some companies need you to have health insurance and the rest is all easily sorted.

nice work adam.

Jarnii, and our other antipodean friends, please note that regretfully both the UK and Sweden are very much in and part of the EU - European Union. The main difference is we are desperately clinging on to some semblence of independence by retaining our own currencies (UK - pounds sterling Sweden - Krona) and are not signed up for the Euro that is used else where in other EU countries. And yes, unless you are a resident of one of the 27 EU or EEC member states then you will need a visa/work permit to visit and work in Sweden or the UK for that matter. Hope this clarifies and helps.

I remain English first, British last, AND NEVER a European and proud of it. The British governments surrender to the bureaucrats in Brussels is nothing short of a trecherous national disgrace in my opinion. Sorry nothing to do with the thread just my little rant, we should have stuck by the Commonwealth!! (in a non-empirical sort of way I mean, of course....:001_cool:)

  • 5 weeks later...

Are there any jobs still available? I have just finished the 10 week course at Merrist wood and have CS30, 31 38 and 39. I have cleared lines with a company in devon and taken a few big trees down for myself. I have worked in arboriculture for about 20 months so not short of experience. I already had my tickets before i went to merrist wood but still learnt a lot from the course.
