Ifor flat or car transporter

I have just bought a kioti ck 3510. To transport it and the branch logger I need to buy a trailer (my 10ft Nugent tipper is too small).

 

I owned an ifor w Lm 187 and never really liked it. Just wondering if a car transporter such as a Brian James would be better?

 

Only concern is that a flat deck trailer such as a 14-16ft is extremely versatile; but I'd imagine that loading unloading and towing using a car transporter would be better.

 

In a perfect world is buy them all!

Get a 14-16ft tilt bed with dropsides and a drop down tailgate/ramp. Covered both ways. I wouldn't get a car transporter. They are normally just floored where the wheels go and not really much use for plant and tools.

Agreed with Jonny. A tiltbed trailer is a bit more initial expense but if you are using it a lot then it will save you heaps of time. I have an ifor lm166 and get so annoyed with sliding the ramps in and out twice a day (i have to lock them back in being in London...). It probably takes me 5 minutes a time, twice a day most days of the year and it adds up! A tiltbed will be my next trailer purchase.

I used to use a twin axle ifor LM146 for moving my tractor, but changed to an ifor plant trailer (GP146 triple), miles better, it's quicker to load, tows better and less fussy about positioning of the load.

If you are asking me, because I often overhang stuff from the back and the tailgate is a bit restrictive.
