Ok here's the story, bought s old 150, think it was originally entec. Had a lot of work done to it at spectrum, new blades, anvils, rollers, buttons, shaft, bearing, fins all that, new filters. Old stress control was buggered. Only ran at 3900 rpm, there meant to run at 3200 so I bought a new stress control unit (not cheap) the problem is, the stress kicks in way to much on things that it really should not need it. Any help would be much appreciated

petrol or diesel are the blades sharp belts tight rpm reading correct etc

Diesel with new blades, correct rpm, and belts are right I think. There are no other sensors are there?

Is it the correct stress control unit - they are just a speed sensor counting teeth on a passing cog. If it is set up for the wrong number of teeth it won't work correctly. Also, is the machine reaching full revs (throttle working correctly/fuel supply good)?

I gave spectrum plant my serial number so I presume it is the correct sensor it is running at 3200rpm we hitch is what it meant to, but I have thought that it could be the engine loosing rpm too easily under stress? Had the fuel line cleaned out with a. New filter

Definitely make sure your belts aren't slipping then. I'm not up to speed on the TW machines any more but seem to recall the stress control measuring the speed of the actual flywheel shaft. If your belts are slipping (they might be tight but worn) the flywheel slows very easily under load, but the engine doesn't lose revs so sounds like it isn't actually working very hard.

Has it got the correct size pulley on the primary shaft, they did two sizes

That might be something to check. It looks original but I'll ring timber wolf up and ask them what size it should be thanks
