my mate owns one, hes a landscaper and got a SWB like the one above, bounces around like a jack in the box when towing (5-6inch greenmech) tiny rear (simmilar or smaller than a LR90) i liked the engines power though, and comfort (when not towing!) cruise happily at 80 (unlike a LR!) struggled to get my 046 with 25inch bar in the back even diagonally, rakes ect are a real struggle, imo not enough room to carry climbing bag lowering bag, climbing saws, ground saw, felling saw, fuel, blower ect without stacking everything ontop of each other

thought of a hilux surf commercial? discovery commercial?

Sounds like it'd be rubbish. Its a weird looking thing...bit like a bad Freelander copy, was just curious as the one in the pic is going for under £3900 no Vat.

Need something more like SWB Daihatsu Fourtrack or Defender 90.

to be honest i think it would be rubbish for tree work

if youre looking at a swb 4x4, a LR90 i think would be best, got to be the easiest 4x4 to modify for tree work and cheapest to modify too. . .

looks like a work vehicle too rather than a school runabout :001_tongue:

they can take a real beating and can boogy on the rd, but small. a good gaffers vehicle for going between jobs, nipping off road and towing the odd trailer i reckon. we have had 5 guys and mountains of rigging gear in one before and it wasnt very amusing to say the least lol
