After seeing your welding on another post you could easily make your own sharpening jig, the one I made works very well, let me know if your interested and I'll describe it in more detail.

I haven't done any welding. Although it's a possibility if I called in a favour haha.

I like the look of the pro edge but with the extra attachments and what not it's the other side of £300 notes. Do you still need a grinder if you want to reshape a chisel or can you just whip a course belt on

Well Love the pro edge, reshaped all my tools using the 60 grit ceramic and got a great edge with the 120 ceramic. Same great edge all the time.

Yes it cost a lot but I spent almost on grinders and jigs xD

Did you get the full system with the various jigs

Yeah I go the deluxe, I will sharpen all my chisels and plane irons as well so it'll end up doing quite a bit.

Its a big investment, if you can make do with a grinder with a white wheel and have the time to mess with jigs and tweaking angles ect then its not going to appeal.

For me people were saying get CBN wheels, there £100 each then you need a good grinder and still need the jigs. It all adds up and it still needs time to set up and perfect.

Everything on the Proedge is set, just use the 60 grit to get your tool where it should be then use 120 to get the edge. I can spend more time turning and less time sharpening, this mean a lot to me as I only get 6 or 7 hours a week free time :)
