I was only wondering yesterday what happened to that holder.

I got Roni to send me the photos of it when he was selling it but soon realised it would be out of my price range.

How much work did it take to get it running again?

Pretty much a whole year, nothing really serious though, a few bearings and winch clutches, main thing was the dreaded rust, had taken its toll with stood outside in the Oban climate, every nut and bolt had to be either cut off or heated!

Been well worth the effort, fantastic little tractor.

There is only about 3 ton on there, it handles it no problem, the trailer bolsters are narrow so its a bit deceiving from the angle the picture was taken from!

Be careful using the lowest ratio with a big load, the crown wheel in one of the rear axle reduction (portal) hubs will break a tooth, guess how I know?

Thanks for the heads up! That's why I only pull about 3 tons, any play in the bearings will cause you to break a tooth (or 3)
