Receipted Invoice

Ok you do the job, no-ones there so you letterbox their invoice, being nice customers the cheque comes back by return with your invoice attached. Now what do you do (apart from bank the cheque) do you receipt the invoice and send it back or fling into either bin for files? Never can decide what the customer expects, if it was me I would put the invoice no. on the cheque and keep invoice. Hmm :confused1:

It never ceases to amaze me the stupidity of some or as my wife has just said ''most'' clients regarding invoices, I think from now on I will put on the bottom of the invoice ''please keep this invoice this is a customer copy''.............or will this end up confusing them?

I had never considered sending it back with received written on!

 

Is that what they expect? Some customers photo copy my invoice and send it back to me, i often wonder why they wasted there time!

 

If I were to re send it back to them then that just more postage, which increases the carbon footprint of the job!!!!!!!
