An Amarok with a proper engine

Toyota 3.0 D4D consistently proved more efficient with better mpg than the 2.5 in the hilux.

Mazda and now it seems VAG have shown that to comply with dumbass emission legislation (naughty stuff excepted lol), it is not neccessary to constantly reduce cubic inches and increase BMEP. Excavator manufacturers take note! A lazy, big displacement engine will last longer, bring more happiness to the world and perhaps with less stress, chuck out less emission.

Very good on you VW. Extremely tempted having been about to jump into a Jeep GC.

 Fret not VW will find away there very good at sorting emissions!

It's not coming out until September, and it's still not known if when it's towing at 3500kg you have to carry 500kg less in the truck, like all the others atm.

If it has a 3500kg towing capacity and 1100kg in the truck at the same time I will be very interested.
