Well done mate, if your investing that much in a job you have only just begun in you will go far. Fear is a good thing it keeps you safe, it makes you stop and think. I assume you come from a tree family? Remember to play safe, and have a second climber on site. As long as you listen n learn from those who have seen it all before you will be a asset to any tree team looking at how far you've got for your age :thumbup1:

yes, i suppose fear makes you double check! :001_rolleyes:

yeah my dad has done in for 20+ years, he can work as a second climber if need be but i always worry, hes a bit old school and cant get used to my "new fangled" stuff! :001_tongue:

speaking of which are there any companies round here on AT i live near croydon area, near sutton?

thanks

Ainsley

I'd just go climb some trees at your local park. If anyone kicks off, politely explain you can't hear them and you'll have have a chat when you've finished. It's not uncommon to hit a wall and fear is to be welcomed and managed. You are, after all, swinging around up a tree. Good luck mate.

yeah we have a park almost opposite our house with some big poplars so i might have a go and shin up them!

Thanks very much!:thumbup1:

What are the best chains for cutting into stumps more muddier wood, which would knacker normal chains?

also what are the best cheaper chains, just normal ones, 12" and 20"

Thanks

Ainsley

chains for cutting near the ground use an old one that is sharpened down to the stops. and keep it as so. also once you have cut the offending article be sure to clean out your bar.

and chains for 12/20" ive never noticied a big difference between two brands particulary. but try a few and see how it goes.
