Herons

Hi

Here are a couple of big herons I carved for a local primary school's 40th anniversary. I have now supplied 4 herons to this school, 2 as retirement presents.

The school name is Anagh Coar which is Manx for heron of the marsh.

Cheers

Tony

Thanks for the compliment Steve!

A local disabled group made the plaques and in return I supply them with slab off-cuts which they use to make clocks and things. I'm all in favour of collaborations as they open my work up to a wider audience.

Cheers

Nice work Tony, what wood is it and have you just oiled them for the finish :thumbup1:

Thanks Ian. Its macrocarpa finished with natural colour Ronseal decking oil.

Here's the earlier pair they bought and a tallest to date (4'), spare one!

Cheers
