Gutted I am , I invested in Cordless Stihl range for my Garden Maintenance to save my poor elbows and shoulders with repetitive starting and all was going well for 12 months till yesterday. The only non cordless hand tool for gardening is the Stihl blower .... The return spring on carb /throttle broke so in my wisdom I held the blower steady with my knee , right hand on holding choke on and left hand to start it ,shocking pain and noise from my arm . I think I may have tore a muscle possibly Flex carpi has very little strength in my wrist/grip and pain in forearm. End of a long day rushing home and not thinking straight and awkward starting position!!!

You can still manage, when I did that I soon learned how to pull a ripcord with my left arm..

Like Ste says as well, time to get the stilh battery operated strimmer now.. lovely battery back pack to go with it.... after you've spent your grand, it won't take long before you convince yourself its the best thousand pounds you ever spent...

Kidding aside, hope your OK mate, nothin worse than doin yourself an injury... I'm currently takin care of bad back...

I don't suppose its to far removed from the truth, see, for the most part when I'm not working I like to relax on my PC doing all kinds of stuff...

I need to get out and move about on my off time as much as when I'm out tryin to earn a crust..

Earning a crust ain't to difficult.

Mrs Egg ain't so keen when I've got some off time if I'm trying to move about a bit.
