Adze?

How do chaps and chappetes

 

Looking for someone to make me a reasonably priced and decent adze, I'm based in West Yorkshire but don't mind paying extra for postage and whatnot! Anyone on here that can help?

I think Robin wood worker makes craving tools and axes might be worth asking him if he can make a adze.

Are you talking a curved adze for bowls? If so by far the best are the hans karlsson ones.

Yes an adze for bowl carving but not a posh and chuffing expensive one (gransfors, Hans karlson etc...) although I would love an expensive one I can't warrant the cost so I was wondering if anyone on here could make one, I tried the user cracker but haven't heard back

A guy by the name of Rhys Harris makes tools. Can find him on Facebook.

 

It's really worth spending the extra for a karlsson or gransfors, much better quality took with years of use in the design and also they don't loose money over time.

I've just purchased a Gransfors carving axe and it really is a thing of beauty. Will deffo get an adze in time.

I have the gransfors Swedish carving axe, Forrest hatchet and carpenters axe so I may aswell get the adze to match but was trying to find a cheaper alternative ha

I personally use a 50mm karlsson adze for most things and it's awesome.
