I have an opportunity to buy a Honda izy second hand for £60 ....is it a good mower ??

They are good but without seeing it up close can't say really. If it runs ok it's worth nearly £60 for the engine alone (unless it's really old) so you can't go too far wrong.

try it out before you buy it, you don't want to spend ten minutes pulling your arm out trying to get it going every time you use it...

Check the blade as well, see if it ain't twisted or bent, havin said that, its about thirty quid for a new blade, dependin on where you get one from..

Good job the bloke sold it to someone else then thanks anyway !! -any recommendations on a cheap self propelled lawnmower for someone else to use if they work for me ?

I would simply keep to a 'main brand' mower and one that your local dealers sell, as spares and service will be much easier.

To be honest you may find any single speed model a bit slow, but v/s models are of course a bit more expensive.

Does it even need to be self propelled ?

You can get all sorts for not much money if you go for a push model.

Less to break on it too!

After all, he did say it was for someone else to use:biggrin:
