well gone are the days i have a decent sidding unit at my disposal and i take on board what you are saying about damage mat ,that would be a major concern! looks a good idea....the fire wod market around here is usually sold out abot december demand is that high... same estate i was dropping big dead beech for nothing last yearand making more money than average tree work from the logs! but wet timber is a different ball game to me but i supose you have to look at it as an investment.

Start cutting and splitting into billets now Matty, and it will be dry by christmas.

 

Do you think it will dry that quick. Thats how I do my large trunks it would not suprise me as it does seem to dry fast but i put it down to the summer sun. Not sure if it would work so well in autumn.
