guessing the weight of logs

Can anyone hazard an approximate guess to the weight of a builders bag of seasoned hardwood logs cut and split. I'm looking to downsize to a smaller van and wondering what the weight might be so not to overload a small van.

If it's 0.7cube I would think 250kg completely dry and 400kg wet.

Thanks, im just looking at small vans with a 600kg payload as an alternative to deliveing logs.

this will depend on the hardwood mate, if it's a load of polar tulip and willow then it could literally be half the weight of hornbeam whitebeam and holm oak.

Good plan, I reckon, especially if you find yourself delivering a single bag a lot of the time.

Worth noting that a lot of the smaller vans have pretty low trailer weights, if that's a consideration?

 

eg; A Peugeot Partner would be 1100kg Max gross trailer weight for a braked trailer and only 500kg Max for an unbraked trailer.

 

Although there is an 800kg payload version of the Peugeot Partner.... if you can fit two bags inside?

I have weighed several builders bags (0.6 cube) of well seasoned ash before. Varied between 250 and 280kgs. Hope that helps.
