It's pay as you go I'm afraid. It is extortionate these days. I'd live to see a breakdown of where the course fees go.

After you have got going, either you will be driven to do more or loose interest.

See how it goes. As the saying says, Rome wasn't built in a day.

If you want tickets after 30/31 then I'd do 38, first aid and chipper.

I'd get work as a grounder first to build experience, 38 and first aid will help get grounded work. 39 can come later when you have time served. I'd also want to do groundwork to ensure its the job I want to do. If you impress who ever you work for they may put you through 39 later?

Have you thought about an arb qualification? I'm studying for a level 2 certificate as distance learning.

You need to get a start first and tickets without experience are of limited value, you will be of far more use to an employer (more chance of getting your foot in the door) if you can drive and tow a chipper

Can drive and tow a tipper and tow upto 8.5tons as license is pre 1997

A pre 97 allows you up to 8250kg MAM as a combination, the most you can possibly tow is 3500kg dependant on the MAM of the towing vehicle

All the openings and opportunities I've looked at want tickets - 30/31 as a minimum. Most want 38 too to take you on as a groundie even.

I would have thought it would be difficult to get brash dragging experience without 30/31. Chipper you can be deemed competent by the employer but to be of much use you need to be able to use a saw?
