There's one Ash log with a cavity in the centre.

One Oak log that's dead and solid.

One Oak log that's a bit squify.

If you're interested call Al on 07834 414371

Thanks for the pics. My problem would be moving logs of that diameter without cutting them really short. I'll have a word with my haulier and see what he can lift.

Thanks.

Ok. Went yesterday for a 4 hour drive to look at a parcel of oak as i didn't trust the seller new what a saw log was. Glad i did as the pile was 85% firewood.

I'm getting pretty desperate for some oak right now.

Small parcels and single trees are fine. I need around 6 tonne of minimum 4.2m to build some trusses. I will need alot more but not as urgently.

Please let me know what you have or if you have one coming down.

Many thanks

James

Its road side and needs shifting in the next 2 weeks.

Sound like a lovely stem and ideal for a Lucas mill.

Dbh is 1200. Two very nice 4.8m stems out of it. First one ends around 1m diameter second one 900 diameter. One more 4.8m not as good bit still goid with one big side branch. And a bendy 6m on the end. Took one of the branches as well which will yield some 4 X2 fir the the porch roof.
