To my mind and I'm not a local. If they pay for the rebuilding, they get a say in how it looks. They they just want a say but are not footing the bill...

 

that's about right TGB. Humphrey isn't footing the bill (£300,000 just for the foot bridge and £3m to rebuild the main bridge from the Govt) but still wants a say.

the brewery has had various set to with Selby council (local authority) over a lot of years

over planning and design of buildings and car parks etc. even going as far as high court and wining, it has cost Selby council millions of pounds in a nut shell he will use every opportunity to have a go at the council. in a way I think good someone can take on the council and win but I do not agree with all of his ideas
