Felled and milled some Spruce at home to create a decking. Milled 1" boards with 24" mill and 441. Edged with circular saw. Placed boards flush and fixed each board down with one screw either end. Very little shrinkage but warping. One year, on fixed warping by screwing down boards properly. One year on again, all is well.

Now upgraded to a 36" mill (thanks Rob!), using an 880!

Last year I extended the decking, creating a path to our Willow arch (where we woz married!). This time I felled a Scot's pine and used one windblown Scot's pine. Milled 2" boards and didn't edge them. I spread wood chip underneath to make the slight and contoured gaps more attractive!

Various boards milled. Burred Elm, shelves and chopping board. Horsechestnut, shelf (black melted wax fills the hole). Maple, going to be a children's bench (top has now split down middle - thinking of filling with melted pewter or wax).
