Jensen a530 rollers stopped

My Jensens rollers decided to stop working today, it's the open gear type machine. I can now turn the rollers by hand where before they wouldn't. There's a very slight movement when move the control from forward to reverse.

I've spoken to arbrep who think it's something up with the gears as I can turn them but they're still lubricated and meshed ok so I'm thinking low on oil and the lack of pressure is why they can turn?

It did have a leak from the control box a while back so replaced a seal there and fine since and would explain why it would be low on oil. I'd like to try that first before stripping down gears and the motor unless anyone has had similar issues?

Also which oil should i use? Went to George Browns in Leighton buzzard and they weren't sure as the manual says 30/50 oil and they've not heard of it! They do have q8 Haydn 46?

All fixed, for future searches if anyone gets the problem it turned out to just be the screw and washer holding the gear to the pump had worked its way loose and the key that holds it onto the shaft was missing.

Thanks for Charles from arbrep for being helpful over the phone with adviceImageUploadedByArbtalk1453117717.021752.jpg.627745c84b4db97b010c605be1f9e56d.jpg
